I had been living with severe depression and was approaching 400 lbs in weight. It was mentally and physically challenging to leave the house. My health was declining to the point that I could not sleep more than one or two hours a night. I was emotionally exhausted from the burden I had put on my body and I felt trapped in my own skin.
My first consult with Jesse changed everything, I felt safe and secure working out with him. He understood my physical limitations, and during that summer we worked hard to shed weight, increase endurance, and build muscle.
In the fall of 2018 I took that class for the third time and finally... I passed. I have currently lost 107 lbs. Everything in my life is better. I get restful sleep at night, I have mental focus, physical strength, and stamina, a more productive mind and the energy to maintain it, a much more positive attitude, and so much love and gratitude in my heart. For the first time in my life I have a healthy relationship with food. I finally understand what it takes to maintain a proper diet, and how rewarding it is to treat your body well.    Read moreNew Roots has had such a huge impact in my life. I first went there after having my 3rd child in 2013. It was time to lose some baby weight. I wasnât prepared to start a new lifestyle. To like my trainer so much, have so much fun, and make so many new friends that they became my workout fam. Jesse worked with me to keep my workout schedule flexible when my job pulled me in different directions. Itâs something that he does well so you donât need to miss your workouts. I could tell him Iâd be traveling for work and heâd provide a hotel friendly workout. He taught me how strong I really was. And how to be accountable to myself. New Roots is home to me.
