My husband is from Wisconsin and the first time I had Culver's was there. When I compare the experience of FLGs to WIS, they're very different. First I'll touch on food from a vegan Gluten Free perspective: I don't eat here. My kids and husband do, but won't because this restaurant represents the land of dairy and dairy makes its way into everything, cheese on salad and butter on steamed veggies. From the GF perspective, they have GF buns and dinner options like beef roast, mashed potatoes without gravy, and steamed broccoli. Their french fries have fryer cross contamination that makes me sick anytime i eat them and i can usually handle a little cross contam, but not there. Let me be real, if you're not vegan and GF I know their food is delicious, and they have fun kid meals where kids get a free scoop of custard and a topping that is GF. I know because I ate there before I learned i had gluten and dairy allergy and ate meats. Regarding service, I was happy for my family when the FLG location opened up because they love Culver's. The atmosphere is a reflection of the region. Wisconsin customer service is A+ best service of almost any restaurant/fast food I've encountered. FLG is a C+, the cheerful hospitality and attitude expected is the typical high schooler or college kid trying to apply if at all, but still feel rude and uninviting, especially the drive through which has been my latest experience. I've been to the PHX Metrocenter location and that was definitely a reflection of the rough neighborhood messy, rude, bathroom locked requiring a pass code. FLG is a mix between the rough PHX and charming WIS; clean but no one really wants to be...
Read moreThis restaurant was friendly but we were expecting a sit-down restaurant and walked into a fast food place. I'm sure there are people that like it but everyone in my party was not impressed with their food. The hamburger tasted fabulous except I'm not quite sure how they got it that thin... So order a double. One person in my group had ordered a hamburger and she specifically stated that she did want lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. Hamburger came out with one pickle. She had to go back up three times to get all of the necessities to go on the burger. In the end, she said it was more like a salad on a bun because the meat patty was so minuscule. Crinkle fries and kind of bland chili on the chili cheese fries, with just some canned cheese sauce style cheese. Kind of disappointing. Again, we were kind of expecting a sit-down restaurant and walked into fast food and decided to stay. Our expectations were a little higher but we stayed. The taste on the burger was good and I would definitely eat the burgers again but I would get that double patty next time. I'm I'm not a heavy eater but there just wasn't a lot of meat to it. Most restaurants I only eat half of my burger and this one I ate the...
Read more+clean place +free decent sized water cup +burger didnt seem to be fried in a bunch of oil
-confusing menu display. The mash up of pictures, meal combos and small print complex combinations must be a tactic to make peopke order more because all fast food places have it now, you have to stare at the menu for five minutes to find a simple item, they dont just show a picture of each item next to the name. You cant just order a burger with or without toppings they have "names" like a normal burger with jalapeño peppers is called the culvalina and then you end up in a whole conversation just to order a freakin burger -seems to me it should be bigger for the price -burger is kind of plain tasting for some reason -would be nice if they didnt have a tv -no vegan ice cream. They claim the lemon ice is vegan ice cream but we all know shaved ice is not the same thing as ice cream. There are a lot of vegan ice creams now that dont use dairy. So delicious and ben and jerrys both have great ice cream that isnt dairy. There are also some gelatos that dont use dairy - check out the shops in sedona to try them. No one will even notice its not dairy and you will give lactose intolerant people an...
