Owners are nice and probably too quick on appraising products. I just sold my entire pokemon tcg and novelty collection for less than a grand, but I know the whole thing was much more. Communication was limited as they wanted to work through it without any input, it felt like drop it off and forget about it until they come up with a price. I was more than willing to assist on explaining certain collection values how to sell some items together because I had completed sets or pairs in the collection but they didnt need it apparently. Made the whole thing feel unwelcoming. Due to miscomunnication on my part and desperation I agreed to sell without considering the other options at other stores in town. I know I annoyed the owner, it was very clear I was upset and so was he. He agreed to bump up my price to what I asked but letting go of a collection I spent well over 10 years on was really hard on me and this owner made me feel like I was being a bad customer. Honestly talk with your sellers before you make a final decision. My final review is, They did good as a business but my heart wasn't in this transaction at all. They gave me information about sales that I didn't need to know because it was to make it sound like they knew what they were doing and that I don't. In the end I settled and honestly the owner's son was there doing better communication with me than the parents did, so I decided I wasnt going to argue thanks to him. Hes a good kid.
Post edit: Probably never coming back. After discussions with fellow collectors I pulled the trigger too fast, no one bothered to remedy the situation, I just asked for more money like a beggar and again the transaction didn't sit right with me. The customer sevice was appalling. Not once you asked if I needed my binders or containers back I'm gonna say you assumed everything was for sale. My community agrees that I've been swindled and I have myself to blame for that. You told me how people have betrayed your business, it seems it doesn't bother you the other way around. Enjoy earning off of years of my work. I don't encourage collectors...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverrated by far IMO I was recommended this shop as a one stop wonder to unload a variety of collectable and even online promoted it as one of the best in town when selling old silver and gold stating fair prices paid and professionalism in the process. Well I must admit that I was disappointed all around as my precious metals were either denied (even silver items stamped and with obvious amounts of TARNISH) were turned away and what was bought for $20 left me curious and a bit upset about them not even offering to weigh it. So a handful of silver and gold for $20 and two coins both a 1906 penny and a well worn mercury dime were worth $2 more and everything else wasn't even worth an offer *(Steve Nash jersey, turquoise, retro collectibles they sold there but would not offer a dime for) also didn't like how an employee *who earlier on was kind of bragging about knowing what to look for when examining why even marked items were turned away made the horrifying mistake of telling me *i know because I tested it and UV don't act like that on fakes my man... how he believed several ...SEVERAL gems were fake (opals) two of them are *(brilliant) which shows me they know nothing about gems and to be mindful about this when anyone goes to sell here. I was astounding by the way I was seemingly immediately dismissed or felt as though I should be the one untrustworthy and I know it's the opposite indeed. But it's honestly just what my experience was and hopefully other folks will see this and before they make a costly mistake as today could have been for me so much worse so thanks guys for the $22 and the disrespect of a not real Brilliant opal ROFLMAO when that sells i should go back to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been doing business with Route 66 coin and Collectibles for 3yrs now. Both David Tackett & David Bianco are the two most trusted Gold and Silver Brokers in Arizona. They will always give you a fair and honest offer for your goods. if you have read the reviews you would have noticed 2 reviews by by Brian Goaziou and animals gengler who posted a review out of spite because they had their feelings hurt. also don't rely on the reviews as they have NO Followers and only these reviews. they both thought that the Items they had were worth more than they are. @ animals gengler Canadian Olympic comeverative coins only hold value to collectors when they are in demand which most of the time they are not. so you where offered the spot price of silver which the offer was fair. @Brian Goaziou If you Bring Scrap and and claim it is .585 purity(14k Gold) make sure it is all 14k! also you will never get Market rate for gold no matter where you go only spot. It is Not cool to paint a Business as sketchy if you don't know what you are doing in the first place! before any one asks "How do you Know" I have been in the business field for 25 years and hold 2 degrees in business (a Bachelors and a Masters). I have sold goods, Gold and Silver to Both David Tackett & David Bianco. If I felt that I was Being Cheated I would not keep coming back Time and time again. I personally Trust their Expertise and the Offers I receive from them. I hope you the reader of this review will trust me and Do business with Route 66 Coin & Collectibles as they are very knowledgeable...
