This was an unfortunate experience. We have come here before to buy furniture, and the older southern gentlemen was the only genuine employee we met. Recently, we came by to sell some stuff. We had some pretty high value stuff that we were looking to sell. Obviously, we weren't expecting as much money as we paid for it, but what we were offered was a joke. We were moving and were trying to get rid of a few furniture sets, some expensive electronics, and a like new household appliance. Again, we weren't expecting much, but we were hoping that everything together would at least be around $80-100... this dude offered us $30 bucks for everything. Everything we brought was in great condition, in a set, no damage, and was valued around $700 when new. The guy didn't even seem to care that he was blatantly lowballing us and shrugged us off.
This is wild to me since they overcharge for a lot of items here that aren't in sets and aren't functional. I get how the business works, and they aren't gonna pay as much as you paid, but you'd honestly be better off going to a pawn shop or donating it to someone who needs it. These guys act like they want it for free basically so they can sell it for twice the amount. We went to a pawn shop afterward and was priced out at $150, which was more reasonable and understandable. They also asked us to text them pictures of some of our items and they'd get back to us after evaluating them. Yeah, they never got back to us.
You might be able to find some decent vintage stuff here, and it might be better than paying full price at a retail spot. However, I don't recommend trying to sell anything here if you're looking for value, and I'd highly recommend negotiating prices here because they have the wiggle room from...
Read moreI actually recommended this place to do a huge house liquidation to clients of mine. My clients mother owned the home and had just passed away. I was to list the house for my clients once it had been cleared out. This place literally took money out of my pockets! They went to the house gave my client a price for everything and after that told them they would also buy the house! They purchased this house way under market value so not only did they take food off of my table but my clients got far less in their pockets as well. I called my clients to see how things went and learned what Barn Brothers had done. My clients confirmed that they did tell them they were listing the house with me! VERY BAD BUSINESS ETHIC! I saw that they are now supposedly under new ownership. I have another estate to list and sell right now with the same situation, however I am extremely hesitant to have these people use Barn Brothers for fear I will get ripped off again. With so few houses on the market and few listing opportunities I can't afford to have...
Read moreStopped by this place on my way to lunch while visiting Flagstaff and was very impressed with the quality of the items I saw. I was being shown around the warehouse when I stopped dead in my tracks in front of a mirror that had me speechless. Unfortunately, I had come up north with my friend in a small car and this mirror was HUGE. Got to talking to the owner and he offered to have it delivered for me to Phoenix (which if you’re not familiar is about a two hour drive from Flagstaff). Not only did they deliver it to me perfectly in tact- they delivered it THE NEXT MORNING.
I cannot recommend this place enough! The prices were outstanding and there was so much to look at. A pickers paradise. If you’re ever in Flagstaff be sure to check them out and grab something cool!
I will definitely be a...
