If I could give more stars, I absolutely would!! My wife and I got married in 2017, and from that point on, it was extremely difficult to find a church that we were both comfortable planting in. We moved to NKY together in July of 2018 and had a 2+ year journey of trying to find a church that fit our spiritual and family needs and one where we felt called to serve and honor God with the gifts He's blessed us with. We'd find churches where we could serve, but weren't getting the spiritual sustenance, or get the sustenance and no community...it was a struggle. Then Covid happened, my marriage was getting difficult and on the fritz, I felt alone and desperately wanted to around fellow mature believers who I could grow in community with and receive sound, doctrinal preaching!
A guy I went to college with, David Stefanopoulos, was with his twins in TJmaxx, and my wife saw them and had to say hello lol she called me over and she was surprised I knew the guy!! He reminded me that he went to 7hills, and I think we went that next Sunday or very soon after. My God. Why did we wait so long?! lol
I think I cried the 1st sermon we went to from just hearing the passionate preaching and FIANLLY getting what we as a family needed...what I'd been praying to God for as the leader of our family. So grateful my wife ran into David and his family, for putting 7 hills back on the map for us. Thank you Lord for putting the spiritual family around us that you have, thank you for the sound preaching from Pastor Marcus and his down to earth personality and preaching, and the worship ministry for helping usher the presence of the Holy Spirit on Sundays, revivals, and worship nights! God is in this church and in the people in this church!
We've had an infant since we've come, and Pastor Marcus has mentioned that he has ADD pretty bad, and the babies crying/making loud noises, cause him to lose track, I've seen it happen to him. I respect it, it's different, but when the baby quieted down, we brought him back in. Sometimes my wife stayed in the comfort room after worship was over (during the sermon). Now we check him into the nursery and he does amazing int their, the ladies who serve back there...
Read moreEveryone at 7 Hills is so helpful and kind. When I pulled up and wasn't sure where to park these amazing volunteers guided me to a spot. When we came in the building the Welcome desk told us about everything thing and we were taken into the the church and welcomed into our seats (after being given the option of we wanted to be up close or in the back). Pastor Marcus was in the aisle and greeted my son and I, which was really surprising for such a large church. ... And that really stood out to me. It's huge, I mean really really huge, yet it felt so comfortable, personal, and I didn't feel like I was in an intimidating space, but sitting with old friends and hearing the word of the Lord. I was experiencing a shared moment with Christ, but I could have been alone, it felt that intimate. The Welcome desk even took the time to give me a tour after service and show us all of the options and accomodations available for my large family. There are 7 of us. 3 of my children have special needs, and we have a 4 month old baby - 7 Hills has accomodations for all of them.
I read the reviews over a year ago and decided not to come because I thought I would not be able to bring my children or babies. I am not sure why that review is there at all. It's untrue. In fact it cheated my family out of the opportunity to attend, because with 5 children I need to have them with me.
7 Hills loves it's young people and families, so if you are searching for a home church to experience with your little ones, teens, spouse, grandmother, friends, by yourself it's really a good, safe, warm, comfortable, personal place to do that.
I'm so grateful that we missed Church with my parents that day. This all happened because the laundry wasn't dry and ended up taking a chance on the 1:00 service. It was definitely one of those God works in mysterious...
Read moreI LOVE this church. If your looking for a church that prioritizes a relationship with God over the procedures and routines many people and churches get caught up in, this is the place for you. I have been attending almost a year and have nothing but great things to say. At first I was intimidated by the size of the place, but over time I have become more comfortable with it. Many say it is hard to get to know the congregation at ablarge church. I myself have experienced this at other large churches, but not at 7 Hills. Everyone here is beyond friendly and you will get out of it what you put into it. If you want to reach out and make connections the staff is more than willing to take the time out their schedules to talk to you. After reading some reviews on here many seem to say they didn't like the music or are intimidated by it. I was at first too. It took me about three services until I was completely comfortable with it. Once I was able to look beyond the lights and music I began to see hundreds of people intimately worshiping their God. I then realized this it what worship should look like; hundreds of people shamelessly worshiping their God. My favorite part of 7 Hills is the sermon message. Pastor Marcus is a gifted preacher and is an expert at explaining complicated biblical lessons through his use of analogies. If you are looking for a church that will love you regardless of who you are or what you have done, this is the place for you. 7 Hills and their staff will love you unconditionally and teach you how to move closer to God and love others and your community like God loves you. Attend 7 Hills consecutive times and you will end up loving this place just like I do. I hope to...
