Our family went to have dinner and this restaurant was in the middle of our travels. Where do I even start?...
The outdoors of this establishment was dirty and rundown. One of the doors seems to have some broken glass. The interior was dirty. So much so that the floor was slippery. Crumbs all over the floor and tables that had not been cleaned up. Mind you, this was not lunch or dinner time. Here's where it gets fun...
To start, the server was rushing us to order before she even took our drink order. She mentioned that the order needed to be placed quickly or else we would be waiting for an hour... (Despite the restaurant having just a couple or patrons). Even though our order was correct. She rarely came over to check on us and when she did she seemed highly irritated that we wanted refills or anything that required her attention.
The best part was the check. As we requested our checks we still had to wait about 10 minutes to get them. Our checks we not itemized but rather the original check used by the server as she took our order. The price on the back turned out to be $74. Our bill was originally $31.47. Clearly we were being overcharged and in a big way. As the server came back to check on us, we mentioned the blatant discrepancy and her circuits simply fried! She proceeded to grab a menu and throw it at my wife and told her to figure it out and walked away with a very nasty attitude. We were over billed by a lot and management had to get involved. The server did not bother to apologize for her actions but rather argue very adamantly that we were lying and she did nothing wrong
Our experience here was such a let down. The food was nothing special. I hope they can reverse this and treat people and common decency...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped here when traveling home. We thought we would sit down and enjoy some margaritas and Mexican food and hit the hotel next door. We ordered a house margarita and a cucumber margarita and in my opinion it as the worst tasting drink I have ever tasted. We also recieved chips and salsa which was okay. The salsa was sweet with not much of any flavor. I ordered the arroz con pollo, the chicken and was seasoned so much it looked like crab meat and everything just had a very off putting taste. My wife ordered veggie quesadillas that came with beans and wife. She took one bite of the beans and could not eat any of the food because she already had such a off putting smell from walking to the restroom to wash her hand and the bathroom was disgusting and hallway (near the kitchen smelled like sewer all back there. We just asked for to go boxes and paid and left and tossed our food in the trash out front at the market store next door. Did not drink the drinks or eat the food but a sip and a bite of each thing. Because the flavor of all of it seemed like an illness waiting to happen. So waste of money! We went to raffertys down the road and it was alittle pricey but worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were vacationing to visit the Noah's Ark Encounter and my wife wanted a little taste of home so we went with Taqueria Ramirez. We visited the #1 versus one of the other 2 since it was recommended to us. It was a little difficult to find it since it was in the back on the side of a salon attached to a grocery store. We walked in and on one side it seemed kind of crowded with the seating, but the main side had plenty of room and was decorated to give you a surrounding of Mexico. We were immediately greeted by the waitress who was very pleasant and welcoming. My little girl ordered rice and beans, my wife a soup and my boy the Seafood Mochete (he likes shrimp and octopus...this had both plus). I ordered nothing knowing we would have leftovers and that my boy would not finish his. The food was delicious...every ounce. Only a few issues. The price was really high in my opinion all in all. Unfortunately, I didn't get an itemized receipt to know what was charged for each dish, but the base amount was $80. We tipped $9.52 and used credit card to pay which tacked on another $4. Total we paid $94. They offer no...
