Clothes Mentor Florence, KY — Local services in Florence

I’m generally not one to review or even leave reviews! However I’m just tired of bad!!!! I brought 2 huge bags of clothes in that were majority name brand and hung to dry no pilling or wear!!! They told me it would take 20-30 minutes to go through…I was notified within 5 that they were done….told me that my items were worn and not resale able ,the items they took were ones they will quad price what they gave me!!! They then proceeded to ask me if I wanted them to get rid of the items I brought by donating in which I thought ahhhh this is how they make their money hoping I say yeah go for it! First it was impossible for them to go through those items in that short of time! Second I seen clothes for sale that looked 10x worse than the clothing I brought in! Third, how extremely sad that manipulation is excepted as normal to make a buck! It’s everywhere unfortunately, clothing mentor please do better be better! I expect it and that’s ok! Raise your standard! You will be surprised how “well”...

I stopped in with 4 tubs of clothes, ranging from jeans, rompers, cami's, cardigans, dresses, etc. probably 100 items total. I was told they would go through them and text me within 30 minutes. Shortly after I was notified they were ready. I came back and they told me they are only buying 1 item. A cheetah print cardigan.I was in shock. The girl working told me the items I brought in were outdated. Outdated to who?? I have shopped in there before and have seen what was on the racks. I can assure you they are not outdated. Did they really go through all the items I brought in? Very disappointed...

I was so excited this was coming back to florence. I stop in weekly to see what's new and buy at least one thing everytime I'm in. I do wish the buying was more consistent. Sometimes it feels like I'm in platos closet. Some of the items in store wouldn't sell even at goodwill with the amount of holes and wear in them. Make sure you check everything before purchasing as I've gotten home and realized big holes or stains on items. I have gotten some excellent pieces though as well, just have to spend more time inspecting pieces. Overall glad...
