To whom it may concern,
I don’t normally take the time to fill these things out or to go out of my way to discuss an experience that I had at a place of business but my Boyfriend and I experienced the worst service at the Florence, Ky Olive Garden last night. We were going out to celebrate sweetest day with our 3 month old son and while we were looking at the menu the hostess was seating a family at the table next to us which was no problem until we heard what the hostess had to say. She asked the family if the table next to us was ok and apologized for the inconvenience of having to seat them next to a baby. My face turned red with anger immediately because our son was in his car seat SLEEPING and not bothering anyone! It not only made us upset but made the family next to us uncomfortable as well to the point that they even mentioned how rude that was for her to say because they too had children with them. After that comment I would love to say that the experience got better but it didn’t. It continues to get worse. Our drinks came out messed up twice (we asked for a lemonade and an ice water with lemon) we received sweet tea the first time then unsweet tea the second time before finally getting what we ordered. My boyfriend ordered the seafood Alfredo and I ordered the tour of Italy with the red sauce instead of Alfredo sauce. Once our food came out my tour of Italy had Alfredo sauce instead of red sauce so they took the plate back and advised they would fix it. After 20 minutes my food came out finally and was made the way I ordered it. The manger did came over one time to let me know my food would be out shortly and then it came almost 20 minutes later. By this time my boyfriend had finished eating his dinner as I was starting on mine. As I was eating he went to address our concerns with the manager on duty and she told us she would be comping our meals minus our desserts we ordered and that she would “talk” to the rude hostess. The manager made us feel as if we were making up the situation because we didn’t receive one single sincere apology from her nor the hostess. This was a very disappointing evening and did not go as planned. We had both looked forward to enjoying an evening out for sweetest day with our son and in the end we should have just stayed home. I know this is lengthy but again I feel that it needs to be said because we have never experienced such discrimination, lack of respect and overall poor service at a dine in restaurant before....
Read moreFirst off, let me just say that I love coming to Olive Garden. The food is actually really good, the atmosphere is very laid-back. I enjoy coming here with my family and friends.. but today on this particular day, it was not enjoyable. Waitress whom I thought it was her first day turns out it wasn’t and she had been there for a while., Not so much a good waitress. The drink I ordered was supposed to be cold. She brought it out to me hot and try to blame the staff in the back for it not only that but salad and breadsticks. You automatically get that she did not serve us breadsticks and the salad we had requested she messed up on two orders, and of course, including my drink, and I kindly pointed out the issue I had with a drink. She did not even take it back. She merely just said it on the other side of the table and said that she was going to replace it. She never did management walk by and I told him about the issue and they said they would fix it and I said it doesn’t even matter at this point. Just replace it with the water…. I will say this had been the most non-experience that I’ve had Olive Garden… I do hope that they either a give this girl some more training if you’re gonna let her continue stay there and not have the proper training that she should only give her two tables that has very few people on it that she can be able to manage because that was a...
Read moreWe decided to have lunch at the Olive Garden in Florence, KY. I walked in and there was no wait for a booth for 2 people! Our waitress, Kendell was nice! She took our orders and seemed attentive! My boyfriend ordered Lasagna Classico and I ordered the 3 Meat Manicotti. His Lasagna was delivered to our table and it looked like it was just noodles with red sauce! It definitely didn't match the picture on the menu! We mentioned it to our waitress and she said she was sorry and would bring him another plate! Well, she brought another plate and it looked the same as the first plate! ( it really looked like she just brought the same dish out!!) He told her that he wasn't happy with the second plate! She asked what him what he wanted! Did he want to order another Lasagna,or just get a " to go" box? He said he'd just eat the second plate and forego the to go box!
Kendell came back to our table and told us that her manager said to go ahead and take the Lasagna off our bill and offer us 2 complimentary desserts. We said Thank you! My boyfriend & I thought it was odd that the manager lady didn't even come to our table to apologize or at least acknowledge that the cook or whoever made a mistake with his order! We've been at this location 3 times in the two weeks, and this was the first time something like this happened!
