Bungalows — Local services in Foley

This comment is in regards to the Wharf store which is closing at the end of October. I bought $80 worth of merchandise yesterday. I received my receipt which clearly states the return policy: exchange or store credit issued for returned merchandise within 2 weeks of original purchase with store receipt. I bought the merchandise for my daughter who was not with me. The items were too big. I took the merchandise with the receipt back today to return according to the return policy. I was going to buy something else for the same amount. I was told since they are going out of business, no returns would be accepted. No where on any of their signage does it say that nor was I told that. The girls behind the register said I should have known and the receipt was old and did not cover the discounted sales. I asked them to call the owner Terry to ask about it. They did and he refused. The girls at the register turned their backs to me and walked away. How rude!! This in my opinion is false advertising and I will never shop at the Foley or Nola stores. I will never support this kind of business or owners that take advantage of customers. What an excellent shopping experience I had at bungalows… Located in Foley Alabama on Highway 59… They have an additional location in New Orleans Louisiana as well. I found a few things that I’ve been searching for for years! Their customer service is outstanding, the environment is fun and friendly, with an assortment gift ideas for just about anyone. The items I purchased were quite large including a lifeguard tower stand with umbrella and two seahorse bookshelves. Street parking and wheelchair accessible. Great selection of items, from jewelry and handbags to clothing and home goods. Their sizing is also INCLUSIVE! They have a plus size section and their standard sizes also accommodate curvy ladies.
