On May 22, 2025 I stepped in to the HomeGoods store located in the Trenholm Plaza. Made my purchase and once back home I noticed I was charged x2 for the same item. So today 5/23 I returned to get a refund of $24.99. The associate seemed stressed and not friendly at all. At the end of the transaction I politely asked her if there will be a apology for having to drive back here all the way from the other side of town and back home. She asked me what for that she didn’t ring me up the day before. I thought I didn’t hear right so I asked her name since there was no name tag. She refused to give her name and in a very ugly look at me she professed that she didn’t like my attitude. Wow! The assistant manager Leann and the store manager Selena were trying to protect their employee like she was someone very special and that it was ok for her to make her own store rules. Eventually I was told the associate’s name, Leslie. I was treated very badly and the store manager placed insult on top of injury. So sad and needlessly! When you’re woke you go broke. I was wondering if that store is part of a sanctuary program that should not belong in any workplace! Selena, Leslie, and Leann, what a terrible shopping experience...
Read moreWow! Went to the store in Treholm plaza to return a broken hamper and the older cashier lady upfront was extremely rude from the get-go. I have never had such experience at HomeGoods, and normally don’t leave reviews, but this was an extremely poor customer service. She had an issue with me trying to return a hamper with a broken handle on the 24th of the month as opposed to right away (I bought it on the 12th), and she proceeded to tell me “well, did you buy it in this condition????”. The hamper still had tags on and I haven’t used, I made a mistake of agreeing that it wasn’t broken when I bought it, but in fact idk, I noticed it being broken when I got home. Then, she called a manager who stated the policy of not being able to return it because it’s unsellable. Which, after all, whatever works for them, but at least he wasn’t rude about it (not including the fact that he brought a table with return policy to point out why they couldn’t take it back).
All in all, I will never return to that store again. Not because I couldn’t return the hamper, but because of the way the staff spoke to me and made me feel...
Read moreSurely there has to be a more competent person walking the floors as a sales associate who could provide more proficient services than the current manager who I encounters today whose name was Leighann. She had the worst attitude and was so dismissive and argumentative even around other customers that even a customer stoped me and told me “good luck.” If I was HR for this company I would do a deeper dive. I understand in a world of short staffing that help us hard to come by and it often leads you to having to pick the only person standing there for a job, but that comes at a detriment sometimes. Leighann, I challenge you to be come more astute and professional so you can actually drill down your policy and give adequate customer service. I bet they moved you over from another location but how you act isn’t a fit for...
