If you like baseball games, but don't like dealing with huge crowds and traffic, McNair Field is the place. Home to the Forest City Owls, a Coastal Plain League affiliate (collegiate summer league), McNair Field is a state of the art, small-market baseball stadium and event center. The field has hosted music acts such as Jamey Johnson and the Charlie Daniels Band. A great place to spend an evening of watching future pros playing baseball in a family-centered environment. Food and drinks, while pricey, are not nearly as expensive as they would be if it were a Major League affiliate. After games, kids can talk to players and get autographs and they do four fireworks shows each season which always draws a big crowd. Getting in and out of the parking lot is easy and traffic...

I was so happy to hear that they were still going to do the 4th of July fireworks display! This is a tradition for our kids, and it was nice to have a bit of normalcy in the midst of all the craziness.
They started right on time, and there were many new fireworks I've not seen in the past. My favorite was the smiley face fireworks!

I had family running in the Leader of the Pack 5K today and I had a chance to walk around the grounds and check out the stadium while I was waiting for their finish. Nice stadium. Nice bathrooms. They have a concessions stand located just inside the gate to the right. The bathrooms are located on the backside of the building.
