I am absolutely livid and would give this place less than zero stars if I could. I used to shop here for four years, but every year they've been going downhill - and today was the final straw! I experienced something utterly unacceptable and unprecedented in my life. I saw a racing jacket in the cashier's hands, asked to take a closer look, we discussed the price, and I put the jacket in my baggy and continued digging. That was a rare and expensive jacket, and I was so thrilled to find it! But when I was ready to pay for my items, the store manager showed up and asked me to return the jacket 'because she had promised it to another family'! Can you believe that?! They forced me to give back the jacket, saying 'sorry'! Sorry? Really?! That's all you've got?! Imagine putting food in your cart and the cashier taking it out because 'it was promised to another buyer'! How would you feel about that?! I felt utterly disrespected and humiliated; they just ruined my day. That was completely inappropriate, disrespectful, and unacceptable behavior. I didn't deserve such treatment, and neither does anyone else. How could this even happen?! I'd like to ask the manager, do you think it's normal to treat people this way?! Your store is non-profit and exists solely because of people's donations. Your goal is to serve people, but it seems you don't give a damn about respecting buyers who aren't your friends. I don't need your pathetic 'sorry'; you should apologize to that family because the jacket was already in my cart, not theirs. But it seems like you decide who can buy the items people donate to you and who can't! This is not only disrespectful but also illegal. As I said, I will never come back to your store, and I don't recommend shopping...
Read moreI want to start by saying there are a select few really great folks there at the store in forest city. That being said, I went in to buy a large organ That they clearly didn’t have room for anyways. I turned it on to see if it worked and was immediately kick off it. Second, I went back to purchase the item and go ahead and take the risk and there was a worker stacking panting all over the palace near the organ. Apparently I was in her way and it didn’t matter that I’d come to buy an organ, it mattered that I got out of her way. To preface, I have a disabled son with me crying, so it was going to be a difficult task without the attitude of one of the workers anyways. I assume shes there for community service, that the attitude o was getting from her, but maybe they should train the workers to be patient with customers. Or care AT ALL…. I would have bout that organ, instead, since my disabled son and I were push out of the way, ignored, and given attitude with rolling eyes, we left. I would have loved that organ, but I’m not going to be profiled and endure predjuce because I have a disabled son and and look poor and am being rushed out the store. Furthermore, plenty of folks get sued for that. I will be recording my interactions for now on for that purpose. So fair warning, poor and disabled deserve the same treatment as anyone else. And again, you will be on...
Read moreI have shopped here for a few years now and I go because they have a restroom. So I figured if I ask nicely they might let me use it. It seems I always have to go after I have left the house. Even though I try to go before I leave. They told me no so I said I am sorry I can't come back and buy the basket full of clothes I had picked for myself. I did not make it home. In the west it is against the law to be open to the public without a restroom. It should be that way everywhere. What about people with IBS, or...
