I created an online account with Hobby Lobby so that I may order some yarn for a crochet project I'm working on that is nearly complete. I called the Hobby Lobby Store for assistance and I was told that I could not speak to a supervisor because they were unavailable. I asked, "When will they arrive so that I may speak with them?" I was told, "You may leave a voicemail and they will call you back." I've been calling since Tuesday when my order was scheduled to be delivered but it didn't arrive." The FedEx website continues to reflect that the package is "out for delivery." The package never made it to my secured delivery box on my front porch or my hands.
Hobby Lobby nor FedEx wants to own the responsibility of this screw up therefore Hobby Lobby is withholding my reimbursement saying, "After 5 days the products will be considered lost." From the dates of Friday, May 30, 2025 (items shipped) through today, Thursday, June 5, 2025, that is 6 days and if you exclude Sunday, that's 5 days. I want my refund and I'm entitled to it. I'm going to have to call a lawyer and take Hobby Lobby to small claims court for my refund which is really sad especially seeing as how Hobby Lobby was struggling to remain in business some years ago. I've never shopped at Hobby Lobby. This is my 1st experience with them and last. You can believe that I'll never, ever in life shop with Hobby Lobby ever again.
I would suggest shopping at Michael's for your hobby needs since JoAnn's is now closed. I should have listened to my instincts but I didn't and this is what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStepping into Hobby Lobby is like wandering into a well-stocked atelierāa place where creativity feels at home. Their aisles of fabric, floral arrangements, and decorative accents are inviting enough, but the real jewel, in my experience, is their custom frame service.
Much like a perfectly tailored dress elevates the wearer, a thoughtfully chosen frame elevates the art it surrounds. The staff here approach each pieceāwhether itās a family portrait, an heirloom textile, or a delicate watercolorāwith both technical precision and a clear eye for design. They lay out an array of mats, textures, and finishes, making the selection process feel less transactional and more like a personal design consultation.
The craftsmanship is evident. Corners meet seamlessly, proportions are balanced, and the frames themselves have a sense of enduring quality. More importantly, they know how to draw the eye to what mattersāthe piece insideāwithout overwhelming it. I appreciate their attentiveness to subtle detail, whether itās suggesting a linen mat to soften a photograph or a gilded edge to enhance a vintage map.
A framed work becomes more than dĆ©cor; it becomes part of a homeās story. Hobby Lobby understands this, and their framing service makes it easyāeven pleasurableāto transform simple art into something lasting and beautiful. Quite frankly, itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have loved Hobby Lobby for years! It has been my go-to store for arts and crafts, home decor, wedding items, holiday decorations, framing, etc., etc. I recently started shopping at the Hobby Lobby in Capitol Heights.....THE WORST!
I love crocheting. The day before this post, I went to purchase yarn at the Hobby Lobby in Columbia, MD. I was pleasantly surprised to see that "ALL" yarn was 30% off. The cashier ran up my purchase and applied the discount.
I didn't have enough yarn to finish my project so I stopped at the Capitol Heights location the next day. I was purchasing the same brand and color. However, the cashier told me that the 30% discount 'did not apply to the yarn with green print on the tag, only yarn with the black price tag.' To no avail, I referenced the weekly advertisement which clearly states there were no exclusions for yarn. Both she and the manager were adamant that the discount did not apply to ALL YARN.
Was this my first negative encounter at this particular store....NO! But I decided to share this particular incident because there was a blatant disregard for what was written.
FYI, if it were possible to give a zero-star rating that would...
