Our dining experience was a disaster, largely due to the shockingly unprofessional service and a parade of poorly executed dishes. While the seafood egg rolls and Thai calamari were decent, they were the only bright spots in an otherwise dismal meal.

The culinary lowlights were numerous:

• The Brussel sprouts were so undercooked they were like chewing on rocks. • The crab cake was overwhelmingly salty. • The Caesar salad was served with no Caesar dressing whatsoever. • The “limoncello cake” was a deceptive slice of plain cake with lemon frosting, a far cry from what was advertised. • The mac and cheese was a one-note cheese-fest, and the catfish was, once again, excessively salty.

The service, however, was the most offensive part of the evening. Our server was completely neglectful, prioritizing chatting and laughing with the bartender over attending to our table. We were left waiting for 30 minutes just for our first round of non-alcoholic drinks. When we inquired about the long wait for our food, our server blamed the kitchen staff, calling them “slow.”

My request for a simple lemonade was ignored until we were forced to ask for a manager. The supposed manager, “Adam,” had to compel the server to make the drink, which we witnessed him throwing a tantrum over. He then proceeded to make the wrong drink, leaving me with nothing. Adam’s excuse that the actual manager, Ashley, was gone for the day did little to inspire confidence.

While a few items were removed from our bill, it was a hollow gesture. The blatant disrespect from the staff and the inconsistent food quality make it clear this restaurant is not worth your time or money. I will never return and would strongly advise others to avoid it. If the owner of manager reads this - remind staff that people on the patio can see them at the bar. Oh and stop charging 18% gratuities when the service...

My bestie & I came here on 1/11 & I didn’t like my experience at the Capital Heights location. This location is small & tight. I have been in restaurants & sat next to ppl but there was space in between us. There was no space & trying to have conversations with your guest was very uncomfortable. Our waitress was very rude & had a attitude. She didn’t smile & showed no interest in taking our order. When we asked her questions about the food, she wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu items. We started out with margaritas that had Lots of ice in them & we got nothing on the rim. I immediately said I wasn’t getting another one because, it tastes like lemon juice. Someone kept passing gas & waitresses kept laughing about it, Just so unprofessional. The margarita I got at the Va location was different & delicious this one was a ice margarita. We ordered the Seafood egg rolls & Crab & Shrimp dip. The egg rolls came out within 10 min & we waited a hour for the Crab & Shrimp dip & when it came out it was nothing like when I had in at the Va location. It was very soupy with no crab meat & 2 tiny salad shrimp inside. The Caesar salad had no dressing on it, no parmesan cheese on it & when we asked for it we got negative response. The Island pasta was good but had too much pepper in it & taste peppery. We asked for 2 go boxes because we were just OVER IT & just wanted to pay & GO! $160 plus tip definitely not worth it. The owners definitely has to do better because the experience I received at the Va location was Excellent & the customer service was excellent. I have been there 8x’s & never was disappointed but, I wanted to try the NEW Location & on this visit, I definitely was Disappointed🥴 If I go back to Crab Cab it would be the Va location & not the Capital...

First time visiting to this restaurant to order lunch. The atmosphere was very nice only two people or maybe one dining. Don’t know if the only person sitting at the end of the bar worked there or not. However, a lady greeted me at the door nicely and I asked if I can place a takeout order. She said sure place it with the lady at the bar area.

This is where I have a problem. Mind you there is hardly no one at the restaurant but a gentleman eating at the bar. The bartender appears to be doing some busy work like pouring beverages in different containers. She never gave me eye contact. So I waited until she was completed. I waited and waited quietly until she acknowledged me. Finally, she looks up and said can I help you I said yes I would like to place a takeout order. She tells me to go to the lady who greets customers by the door. I walk over a few steps, it’s a small area so the lady overheard the bartender and asked if I was paying by cash or card. I responded cash. The hostess then explained you have to place the order with the same person the same bartender because she is not allowed to take cash from customers in her position- which makes sense. So I stand there stunned like okay who’s going to take my order. I then go back over to the bartender to try and place my order. Ridiculous services.

I finally was able to place my order and purchased a crabcake sandwich and fries for $21. Let’s just say ‘ I had better. With that mediocre service provided. Shame because it just opened up. I don’t care how good the food is or how nice the environment is if your restaurant treats customers like crap like they don’t matter or exist. I will not visit that place...

I had the pleasure of visiting Crab Cab in my hometown of Capitol Heights, MD, and all I can say is I'm speechless. The sense of family here is incredible. Every time I visited, the energy was consistently great—I even ate here four times in the same week, including a Saturday night! Joi (as she says, "Joy with an I") always greeted me with a smiling face. Major will have you laughing out loud with his lively personality. Sam, the bartender, makes a fantastic Sam75—ladies, if you like fruity drinks, ask him to make it sweet for you. Ashley, another bartender, always gives great suggestions with a smile. I also had the pleasure of talking to G and Erin, who were receptive to a few suggestions I made, like adding purse hooks and extending happy hour hours. G even came out to ask if I needed anything else after a small hiccup in the kitchen. She apologized and, though I didn't need anything remade or for free, she brought out egg rolls, which were fantastic! I have one more suggestion: Crab Cab, your vendor Imperial 88 shouldn't tease people with their Demi-sec and Rosé champagne. If you can get some La Marca champagne and sell champagne by the bottle, and Hornitos, Alton, El Jimador (Tequila) that would be great🥰. The Imperial 88 was so good it had me cheating on my La Marca champagne! 😂 Keep up the great customer service with your staff! It's great to see everyone involved and attentive. There's no middle man here—if you ask for something, they bring it straight to you. For a business to get my money four times in one week... just know I'm a bar lady, and when you come to Crab Cab, you won't be disappointed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I visited the Cap Heights location 9/7/25. The decor- very tropical, very beautiful outdoor bar seeding, very nice.. Definitely, we're being terrorized by the flies. It would be nice for them to have any fan outside too, blow away the flies.. Service- a Lil slow and the restaurant was not crowded. 20% gratuity was added to our party of 2. Approximately $18. It was not worth it. Part of OUR order was returned due to saltiness. the salmon tacos were salty. It took forever to get the replacement meal sent out. I ordered dressing for my salad that took forever to come out. THE FOOD: THANKFULLY, THE CRAB CAKE WAS NOT SALTY, BUT THE CRAB FRIES WERE VERY SALTY. THE FRIED SHRIMP WAS VERY SALTY.SADLY FOOD IS UNNECESSARILY SALTY. SOMEONE IN MY PARTY ORDERED Salmon tacos. SHE SAID THAT WAS SALTY.. It's unfortunate when you pay over a hundred dollars and the food is salty and it comes out to you.Slow.. Honestly, this is why I really don't like eating out.Unless it's a very up scale restaurant.. I'm truly moving more towards culinary experiences instead of just eating out.. Cost- OVER PRICED A magnet lemonade was $8.00 , side dishes $8.00. I paid over a $100 for a bill that was salty. The fries it was greasy.. The seafood egg robe tastes funny.. It tastes like the cabbage or the inside was I called dad and it had a very sour taste.. unless they make their egg rolls with pickled cabbage..
