I don't usually write reviews, but tonight's experience at Ledo's in Capital Heights, Maryland was beyond disappointing. The manager on duty was shockingly combative and disrespectful towards several guests, including myself.
Despite the store closing at 2200, we were informed that the dining area shuts down at 2100. This policy wasn't communicated clearly beforehand, leaving us and other diners puzzled and frustrated. When another guest attempted to place a dine-in order, they were met with unnecessary rudeness and told they could only order takeout. This abrupt and unwelcoming treatment set an uncomfortable tone for the evening.
The real kicker came when we received our food and politely asked for plates. To our disbelief, the manager flatly stated they didn't have any. This is a basic necessity in any dining establishment, especially one claiming to be part of a reputable franchise like Ledo's. When I questioned him, he repeated the absurd claim, as if it were perfectly acceptable to serve food without plates.
Attempting to give him the benefit of the doubt, I asked another employee who promptly provided a bowl and cover without issue. The stark difference in responses highlighted not only the manager's incompetence but also his lack of basic customer service skills. Throughout the evening, I observed him treat other patrons with impatience and disdain, including raising his voice and rushing a customer off the phone. This is simply unacceptable behavior for anyone in a managerial position, let alone representing a supposedly respected franchise like Ledo's.
My family and I left feeling disrespected and disappointed. It's clear that the management at this location needs serious reevaluation and training in customer service. As a fan of Ledo's in general, I hope this review prompts swift action to address these glaring issues. Until then, I regret to say that I won't be returning to this particular...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you value polite and respectful customer service, don't go to the Ledo Pizza at Ritchie Station, Capitol Heights. I am not sure if the person who answered the phone is a staff member or the manager, regardless, he was extremely rude, impatient and abrupt with me. I had called the restaurant four times and each time, I was being hung up on. When I finally got thru I asked the individual why he had hung up on me 4 times. Instead of being polite and explaining he did not hear me on the other end of the line, he was defensive, rude and stated disrespectfully, "what did you want me to do". I will no longer go to this particular Ledo at Ritchie Station. I've encountered this particular person several times when I've picked up my order and he has never been polite, friendly or respectful. He acts as though he is doing me a favor by even serving me. (The reason I gave the restaurant/take out one star is primarily the extremely poor customer service provided by this one individual.) If he treats a customer in this manner, I feel sorry for his colleagues and/or staff. I know this post will have no impact on this take out restaurant, but being rude and disrepectful to a customer needs to be called out. I prefer to go to establishments that respect me and value my patronage. Unfortunately, this is not...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePeople DO NOT eat at this establishment. We must come together as a people and close these type of establishments down. The manager (a male) is rude and not knowledgeable at all. The process/protocol for this establishment and Iām assuming other Ledos is to pay before you receive your food. If you donāt pay then the PAID ticket/receipt doesnāt go to the kitchen and you donāt get your food. Well once my food was up and he looked at the ticket and called my name this manager decides to ask me ādid I payā... Iām first surprised then angry. I dare you!!! Ask me this. My response was and the expression on my face was to repeat what he had just ask me back to him .. Then he refuse to give me my pizza!! I proceeded to take my pizza and ask him was this not the process ... to PAY first BEFORE you receive your food!!! He said he was just asking. My question is why? Why? single me out ... why would you ask any customer this if your policy is to have them pay first!!! Before any food item is made and handed off to the manager. We need to start holding establishments responsible and withholding our monies with these places for the lack of respect and lack of knowledge coming from their employees. I will definitely be calling corporate on Monday for the Capitol Heights...
