If I could give 0 stars, I would. Simply just shopping in old town after work and always thought this store had cute clothes, so I walked in today and felt immediately judged simply on my appearance. A group of women walked in after me and were greeted with a smile. Meanwhile I was completely ignored and never asked if I needed any assistance. Horrendous customer service if you arenāt up to their āstatusā, and it was very clear I was not welcome. I will never support a business like this that treats people so poorly based on how they look.

I do want to acknowledge that Tula owners did respond and apologize, and I appreciate it greatly. However, I think there is a clear disconnect from store culture goals of inclusivity and what is actually going on in the store. I want to assure the stylists seemingly had no personal relationship with these women who walked in behind me. They simply were greeted and asked if they needed assistance, whereas when I walked in there was not even a smile. It wasnāt āuncomfortableā, it was simply rude. There was plenty of time from when I walked in to when a group of three women walked in to either greet me, ask if I needed assistance, or even just smile, but there was nothing but silence till the other women walked in. There was a total of 4 of us in the store, and as someone who has worked in retail and food service in the past, it wouldnāt have been hard to at least acknowledge that I walked in the store. Instead I felt isolated, judged, and unimportant to the stylist working that day. I understand this is not the storeās intention, so therefore I suggest Tula hire people who reflect the inclusive environment they seek to promote. I have an upcoming trip to Puerto Rico and a fairly sparse summer wardrobe. I live in the DC suburbs where humidity is a beast and needed everything to be very lightweight and breathable.
Taylor pulled an amazing selection to help me build a capsule wardrobe for my travel and summer wardrobe. She walked me through each piece and described the fabric, fit, and ways to style the pieces together. She also brought ideas to integrate classics I already owned.
Taylor is a true sizing wizard. She chose the sizes for each piece I selected and everything fit perfectly. Iāve never been so delighted with a shopping haul.
Iāve long been faithful to Tula, but this experience doubled down on my commitment. I canāt recommend Tula enough and I send all of my friends their way.

Upon trying on the jeans at home, I noticed there was a flaw in the sizing of the jeans --the manufacturer tags said the jeans were a size 29 although the Tula store tag said 27. Since I am a size 27, I needed to take the jeans back to get them in my size. Tula did not have my correct size and even with the receipt from the purchase the day before, Tula would not issue me a refund for the jeans. The entire time the store staff was unapologetic and extremely rude. As a paying customer, I have never been treated so poorly by any store in my entire life. I had asked for jeans from this store for Chsristmas to support a local business and am extremely disappointed in this service. I should have gone to Nordstrom instead!
