We had such a fantastic experience with Goldworks. Tom, Sandy and Mark were all so great to work with, and I could not have asked for a better team to custom design my wedding band!

When my fiancé purchased my engagement ring it was not made to be paired with a wedding band, but I really wanted to have the second ring. We are fairly active and like to hike, bike, snowboard and more so I wanted to be able to wear the band by itself when we were active or pair it with my engagement ring for everyday wear. At first we tried to pair my ring with wedding bands we found in local jewelry stores, but nothing would fit the curve of my engagement ring, so we started to explore the idea of having a custom band made.

We priced out a few local shops around Broomfield and Boulder where we live now and were shocked by the astronomical prices that people quoted us. I started checking out places in Fort Collins after one of my friends mentioned that there were several locally owned places around town. (I am a CSU alum and was happy to try and support local business). That is when we came across Goldworks! The price they gave us was substantially lower than we were expecting and I would have paid more for the experience we had any way.

They did a 3D scan of my engagement ring and then designed wax models of various bands to go with it which they mailed to me, along with computer generated images of potential options for my wedding band. Once we had settled on a band design, Sandy asked if we would like to be present on casting day. Having never done anything like this before I wasn’t really sure what that meant but thought it would be fun to check it out. Little did I know we would actually be casting the wedding band with Tom and Mark. We got to put the gold in the crucible where it was melted down into a liquid, and then at the completion of the casting I got to dig my ring out of the mold and see it in its raw form for the very first time.

The final product matched my engagement ring perfectly down to the detailed engraving that Mark and Tom replicated from my engagement ring. I love my ring and I can’t thank Tom, Mark, and Sandy enough!

My experience with my engagement ring also prompted me bring some family heirloom pieces to Goldworks that I wanted to incorporate into our wedding day as well. I wanted to wear my Grandfather’s Great Grandmother’s wedding band, but it had been resized previously which thinned and weakened the gold to the point of cracking the band open. When I got it back from Tom you would never have known that the ring had been in such poor shape. It looked like it was brand new!

Additionally, I had my great grandmother’s pearls which had a new clasp added to give them length at some point when one of my Aunts wore them for her wedding. I needed the pearls to be a shorter length and I wasn't a fan of the added clasp (think 80’s costume jewelry). Tom replaced the clasp in like 5 minutes and didn't charge me anything for it. I’m so grateful that Goldworks could help out with so many things for our wedding and I would recommend this...

First and foremost, we cannot praise Tom and Sandy Linenburger enough for his kind, professional and very knowledgeable service. He and his staff are AWESOME ! Their knowledge and expertise in their craft is beyond any other jeweler we have done business with. Another great caveat to their shop is that they offer hard to find services as well as unique one of a kind craftsmanship. My wife has a black rhodium / black diamond wedding ring. You don’t see very many around, but the style is quickly becoming more popular. Although it offers a very beautiful, unique look and style, it does require a bit of maintenance. The black rhodium, depending on the individuals’ lifestyle and use, needs to be re-plated at least once a year due to wear. Not many jewelers offer this service and at least two we have dealt with prior to Gold Works Jewelers … well … lets just say.. they didn’t hold a candle to the craftsmanship and end result that service offered us by Gold Works Jewelers.

Our most recent disappointment using the verbiage “disappointment” is an extreme understatement of our painful and costly experience) was with Darvier Jewelers on N. College Ave., Fort Collins. After being promised they had experience and expertise in this rhodium re-plating process we ended up getting my wife’s ring back looking far worse than we had left it AND had to wait over three weeks for its return! Not to mention the service they provided cost a “considerable” amount more than our cost at Gold Works Jewelers!

After walking out the door of Darvier Jewelers I walked along College Avenue seething with discontent ! I happened to stumble across Gold Works Jewelers p and decided to walk in and ask if they could do the job “right”. After conversation with Tom and Sandy, I felt confident that he could bring my wife’s ring back to life. Doing business with Gold Works Jewelers had the ring back in less than a week and it looked like the day we bought it ! The wear a month later has been better than the wear from the day we bought it as well.

In summation … We HIGHLY recommend Gold Works Jewelers for whatever your jewelry needs may be!

There is A Lot of Professional Talent inside that shop, the staff will leave you feeling like you are the only customer they have, the service is PERSONAL AND VERY ATTENTIVE, immediate email responses, frequent updates on the work you are having done, I first spoke with Tom the owner he was amazing! I then spoke to Carolina ( Carol-EENA ) She guided me though all of my questions and concerns, her help with my design she is the absolute best ! She too has a love and Passion for her work and she is just the start of your experience at Goldworks! Then there’s Jake He was my finish guy as Jake says BRINGING MY CREATION TO LIFE!!!! This Man too has an intense passion for his work! The finished product that Jake brings to life will bring tears to your eyes, ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! The Most SUPER AMAZING MIND BLOWING SIDE OF THIS IS YOU GET TO CAST YOUR OWN RING! YES! Cast your own ring! WITH INSTRUCTION FROM JAKE OF COURSE 😄 the process is incredible and you will be AMAZED he makes it a very personal experience! And in the end my friends My Custom Ring Appraised Higher than what it cost to produce!!!!!
