Picked up my Dixon lawnmower after they were to put a new belt on. They had the unit for weeks. They put on a new belt last year, which had 5 hours of run time on it. It fell off first time I mowed this spring. They also said it needed all new springs and pulley’s, est. $500. I said just replace the belt and one spring that was missing. They charged over one hour of time to replace a 10 minute belt replacement. Five years ago my nephew replaced the same belt in less than five minutes. Total bill for belt and spring was over $199.

Either the tech was incompetent on replacing the belt or padding his time. I brought the excessive charges to the clerk upon check out and the fact that I paid over $500 last year for a new belt and other service on the mower. It fell on uncaring ears.

Needless to say, I will find a more timely and reasonably priced mower service store next time. After buying 3 mowers and many service calls, over the last decades, my last dollar spent at this store is over.

Me and my mother just went in here, and were looking for mower parts. They had 3 guys there when we walked up to the counter, 2 of them were staring at the same computer and the 3rd guy just ignored us the whole time, we waited about 5 minutes then the phone rang he answered it while ignoring us the entire time before it rang. We were treated like the decorations that were there. The service they give is just awful. They seemed EXTREMELY LAZY, but hey we got to find out they didn't want our service to begin with. Typical True Value store, they have a decent selection and prices are reasonable. During the season, they will have their greenhouse set up however, this year they had nothing and it was torn down by October so just a heads up. The people there are extremely helpful. Nice for a quick last...
