Finding the Reversal Clinic was a direct answer from God. Having our youngest son at the end of 2010 with vasectomy in March of 2011, we were exactly 6 years from vasectomy. My husband & I were both seeking about reversal but with the ridiculously high cost of the procedure, we put the thought out of our minds. Then, one night as we were talking about it again we were lead to the Reversal Clinic page. We began seeking how to set an appointment & honestly felt a bit skeptical about all of the communications being email based & no other form of communications.
Now, being 3 months out from our visit, we can definitely assure all qualms of is it legit?! It most certainly is & Dr. Wood is an amazing man of God! We set our appointment over spring break & took our children along with us. YES, you read that correctly! We took our children with us! (11yo, 9yo & 6yo) When we arrived for the appointment we were warmly greeted by Dr. Wood. He greeted our entire family & addressed the children during some of the initial meeting & then had then step out during some of the more intimate parts. As he carefully & delicately explained all of the procedure, he allowed for all of our questions & prayed with all of us before the process began. It was very wonderful!
During the procedure, Dr. Wood began the process & then came into the connected adjacent room for family & invited me into the room to be with my husband. I was allowed to come & go between the two rooms to check on our children & to be able to sit & support my husband. The room was very nice & accommodating, with a tv with kids movies available & plenty of comfortable seating. I know without doubt the mighty hand of God was on Dr. Wood as he worked!
Dr. Wood made himself very available. He provided us with his personal cell phone number & told my husband to call at any time. He also called my husband & checked in on him about a week out I believe & then again about 6 weeks out. Even when my husband was feeling up to getting busy before the time mark to be able to, Dr. Wood took the call & said, there really is no evidence showing not to sooner it's just a recommendation & told my husband if you think you are ready then go for it!
As of yet we haven't conceived but we are eagerly awaiting the exciting moment when it does happen & being able to share that with Dr. Wood! We are just under 3 months out from procedure & just really started trying this last cycle. The exciting day is coming soon I'm sure!
Most all of the communication is through email, I believe my husband received one phone call earlier on confirming his upcoming appointment but it really was easy to set up & arrived at the time we were told & really didn't have much else to do, all our questions were answered when we arrived. The facility itself is very nice & upscale! Smaller building tucked back behind a shopping center in a small town in the middle of no where Oklahoma! Extremely clean, tidy & very pleasant feel to the whole place.
We definitely recommend & can't wait to post when we have the best news to share! Thank you...
Read moreSome of these negative reviews are ridiculous . There are positives and negatives to every situation, and the outcome is not always going to be what you desired - that being said I truly believe that God is sovereign over everything. And he has given Dr. Wilson an amazing gift. Granted, his personality (as mentioned in other reviews) is a little different, but having worked around plenty of surgeons, it's typically a given. Anyways, at the time of my husbands surgery it had been 11 years since his vasectomy which he had come to greatly regret. We had been wanting to have children for a couple years since we married, and he told me to find a provider and we'll go from there. I found doctor Wilson and was intrigued by his prices and success rate and like others was a tad skeptical, but realized he must do this because he believes it's his calling and that it'll glorify God! I was correct. We drove from Las Vegas to Oklahoma (my husband nervous but trusting in my decision) we stayed at the holiday in express suites in Muskogee (which was a wonderful decision) it's a new hotel and the prices were fantastic. The rooms were beautiful .I'm typically worried about hotels and bed bugs and things but this place was pristine! They were friendly and had a great complimentary breakfast which also saved us money (we just went to Costco and packed food for the rest of the meals) fast forward to March 7th, 2017 my husband had his surgery. The building was beautiful! And I enjoyed the hymn tunes calming our nerves. Dr Wilson prayed for us before the surgery which we very much appreciated. During the surgery I kinda cried while waiting for my husband at the excitement of this whole thing. Before my husbands surgery was over Dr Wilson asked if I wanted to come sit in the room while he finished up. I held my husbands hand and patiently waited. Unfortunately after the surgery, my husband had a really difficult time walking, he noticed that other men before him didn't have this issue. Come to find out he developed a hematoma about the size of an orange. When we got back to Vegas we had realized that's what happened and called Dr Wilson. He assured us that it was normal and can often happen. (I was concerned it would affect the success rates) after a couple months it did get better. And 3 months after the surgery in June we found out we were pregnant!! I had my beautiful baby girl March 8th, 2018 almost exactly on the dot from the year anniversary of his reversal! She is such a blessing. It's now Feb 2019 and I just found out in December I am pregnant with reversal baby number two due in August! The Lord has used Dr Wilson to do amazing things! We can't thank him enough even through the trials! If you're skeptical about price don't be! You can tell he truly loves his job, and he's dang good at it! Thank you Dr...
Read moreI flew down in September 2023 by myself, the misses couldnt make the trip, so the entire appointment and initial 2 day recovery is easily manageable by yourself. This is essentially how it went.
Landed, rental car, Walmart for food/drink, then off to the hotel. Next day, drove my self to the appointment. Reviewed the paperwork with him. I will warn you he can talk fast and he has a bit of an Oklahoma accent but he gives you all the instructions on paper so just follow along and it's fine. Now I'll get it to some details for anyone wondering. He'll give you some mild painkillers prior to the surgery and lead you into a room. It's only him doing the surgery, no additional nurses. It's a few sharp pinches for the local and the rest is pretty easy going. Takes about 1.5 hours and you're done. He will check the fluid mid way to see what's going on but this is not an accurate indication of patency, just a reference. I drove straight to the pharmacy and grabbed the antibiotics and tramadol. You will be sore so move slow. Drove to the hotel and laid down in bed. I stayed in bed for the rest of the day and most of the following day. I personally stay away from heavy painkillers so I didn't take any of the tramadol. Just advil/Tylenol and it was manageable. Next morning I was shocked how much better I was feeling. I still took it easy but I was able to go out for dinner and move around. When I got back from dinner I removed the drains. It's kind of freaky to do but rest assured it doesn't hurt at all and you can barely feel it. Next morning I drove to the airport and walking through the airport did not hurt at all, and sitting on the plane was no issue for the 5 hour flight time (Tulsa to Denver, Denver to Edmonton) I sprung for the extra leg room seats just incase, but it's no issue. Upon landing i had to drive 3 hours home and there was no issues, no pain. The next few days were fine, no pain, first shower was at the 4 day mark, at the 7 day mark things started getting sore again as they healed. By about the 10th mark the bruising was pretty much gone and I was moving normally, by the 14th day I didn't feel much at all. By the 21st I started back at the gym and running, 4 miles in the morning caused no discomfort or pain. Home free!
They say 2 weeks before sex but we pushed that a bit to 1 week, probably shouldn't have but it didn't cause any discomfort. Also, your skin may start to peel and thus feel itchy, I used lotion and just let it naturally peel off.
Hope this is helpful for...
