Jiffy Jeff Transportation — Local services in Fort Lauderdale

I must be Honest and relate to anyone reading this review that the review is over two years old. I didn't pay much attention at first, until I thought about the situation a little deeper. My family made reservations with Jiffy Jeff Transportation in January 2020 for shuttle transportation for a scheduled March cruise in the same year. We did everything We were supposed to do as instructed by this company. We paid our Full fee up front with an understanding that if anything changed with their fee we would have to pay the difference at the time of the pick-up. Guess what happened? Of course COVID-19 hit and Shut Down everything!! We started canceling Everything to prevent the Loss of All of our money already invested. Upon calling Jiffy Jeff, We could Never contact anyone there. We sent emails, phone calls and letters to No Avail. Finally after going around in circles with the cruise line, We really forgot about Jiffy Jeff Transportation!! Our Fault!! When We realized that our time limit with them was almost up We tried to contact them again. We finally had the privilege of speaking to a live body!! We were informed that at this point our only option was to schedule another pick-up with them within a Three (3) month period!! Of course We didn't have another cruise schedule within a three month period, so of course We completely lost our money, no other option or even a "Good Customer" concession! We fully understood their delimea as well because of COVID!! But COVID was nobody's fault, We just hoped that they would be More Customer friendly since We paid them up front with No Problem!! My advice in the future for Anyone that uses these private Shuttle services: Be Very Aware of their policies and question up front any policy that you don't agree with!! We All loss money, but this is the business their in and if your business gets paid anyway when the service is Never used, Don't Do Business with Them, Period!! We called and did everything humanly possible for them to refund Us!! They used our money and Others elsewhere!! There are tons of Shuttle services in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale!! I was looking for a company to transport 10 family members from the FLL airport, to the hotel, then hotel to Port of Miami, then return to the FLL airport after the cruise. GoJiffyjeff was that company. We started our email communications; the process was straightforward. One of our issues was, we needed a car seat and booster, GoJiffiyjeff could take care of that. Pricing was fair as I had checked many transportation companies. On the day before our 1st pickup, we got a picture of our driver and the location where Christian would meet us outside the Fort Lauderdale airport. Christian, was courteous, and helpful with 3 kids from 2-7. He shared his knowledge of the Fort Lauderdale area. 2nd leg of our adventure. Was from a Fort Lauderdale hotel to the Miami cruise terminal. Once again, I received a text from who our driver would be. Jeff was great, we were beyond excited on taking the family on a cruise. Jeff asked us questions and then shared his expertise of the areas between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. 3rd leg of our adventure. I had originally booked a round trip from Miami cruise terminal to FLL. Once I figured out, we had over 7 hours between disembarking and flights. Jeff came up with a suggestion of going to an hourly rate verse drop off to drop off. Fantastic idea. All 10 of us saw the Port of Miami, down to South Beach on Ocean Blvd. We went for lunch at Margaritaville in Hollywood Beach. This was Jeff’s old stomping grounds, he shared lots of fun stories growing up. It is nice when you meet people that are willing to changed their plans to accommodate your adventure. Our last stop was to Jaxson’s Ice Cream in Dania Florida. Jeff stopped the shuttle; we all grab ice creams. Great way to finish our time in Florida. 12-8-19.....We called Jiffy Jeff in somewhat of a transportation mishap. We had never sailed from the Miami Cruise Port and as a result had inadequately planned transportation upon our return from our cruise. We had initially planned to use Lyft, but since there was 6 of us and we all had large luggage, I was concerned about the possibility of someone needing to stay and take an additional Lyft with just them and luggage, thereby making this less than economical. So I immediately called JJT and the gentleman that answered the phone was sooooo helpful and seemed so delighted to be of assistance and send a driver our way to get us to where we were going, even though this was obviously a last minute decision and I'm sure he could hear the slight level of uncertainty in my voice. The gentleman answering the phone reassured me it was a task they could handle and that someone would be there shortly. And that was exactly what they provided. Our driver Brenton called within just a few minutes to give instructions on where to meet him, what he was driving and even sent a picture of himself so we had multiple ways to pinpoint our ride and the correct vehicle. He was superb!!! The only draw back to the transportation situation was that they can only drop you off at an airport terminal but if I had known that ahead of time I could have planned a little better, but that's NOT a mark against them. Just more unknowns on my part that I didn't know about and didn't plan for. We were picked up promptly and taken to FLL.
