This was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We ate at Regina's on June 1st. Much of what you read is true, the people who work here are nice, the environment may have a certain charm for some, the food is buffet style. But, the flies, there are flies everywhere, swarming flies. We started with the soup and what was a few flies became tens of flies swarming around us even though there was a citronella candle on our table. It was far more than annoying. Regina's is not a restaurant but instead, an outdoor cooking facility similar to a campground with fenced in backyard in a residential neighborhood. There are in fact chickens running around which might explain why the ground was also covered with swarming flies. As people got up to get more soup, we noticed that their remaining food bowls on the table would be swarmed with flies. You can't leave any exposed food for any period of time without it being swarmed with files. It was like eating dinner next to a dumpster, not because the yard and picnic tables are dirty - they were not- but you are eating dinner on picnic tables in a mulched dirt area with live animals and swarming flies. Honestly, we had enough after an hour of shooing flies and were ready to leave before dinner but we waited. The food is served directly over hot ashes so there are no flies on the food - that area was well over one hundred degrees but it was nice to be away from flies for just a few minutes. The food smelled good but once we sat down again for dinner, we lost our appetite due to the entire farm experience and left before dessert was even served. The dining experience at Regina's reminded me of eating in an open market in an undeveloped part of the world. Maybe the positive reviewers didn't mind the flies or maybe they sat in an area where the flies were not as bad. I'm not sure, but I can say that this was one of the very worst dining experiences we have ever had anywhere at any time. Sorry but this was far from the charming dinner experience we were expecting and the food was completely forgettable after an hour of unpleasant...
Read moreStepping into Regina's Farm is like being welcomed into a warm, vibrant Brazilian family gathering. The atmosphere is buzzing with the joy of communal dining, and the wait, though sometimes long, is absolutely worth it.
The authenticity of the food is unparalleled. Each dish is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Brazil, prepared with love and served with a side of heartwarming hospitality. The owners are the heart and soul of this place, their passion for their community and their deep-rooted faith shining through in every interaction.
The dining experience begins with a selection of five different soups, ranging from hearty oxtail to a thoughtful vegan option. Each soup is a symphony of flavors, setting the stage for the feast to come.
The main course is a sensory delight. The tantalizing aroma of food cooking on outdoor wood-burning stoves wafts through the air, drawing you in. The sight of the food being prepared in this traditional manner adds to the ambiance and the flavor of the dishes. The spread is extensive, with options ranging from chicken, pork, and beef to rice, spaghetti, beans, and salads. It's a buffet-style feast, and you're invited to fill your plate to your heart's content.
The organization is impressive, with guests called up to the buffet according to their arrival time and seating, identified by color-coded bracelets. It's a smooth, well-oiled process that ensures everyone gets their fair share of the feast.
And just when you think you couldn't possibly eat another bite, the dessert arrives. A myriad of authentic Brazilian sweets, each one a delightful end to an unforgettable meal.
In conclusion, Regina's Farm is more than just a restaurant. It's a celebration of Brazilian culture, community, and cuisine. It's a place where every guest is treated like family, and every meal is a feast. Five stars simply don't...
Read moreA special place, excellent attention, delicious food, the owners are excellent, but when it comes to taking the necessary precautions and steps when you lose something, unfortunately they are unable to ensure and protect your interests. Unfortunately I lost a precious bracelet, which was found by another guest and given to the owners of the farm at that time it was their responsibility to ensure and make known to the guests that an item was found and that it is in there hands of the owners, but they fail to do that and leave it in the opening were someone can see it, and due to other circumstances someone had the nerve to take it without anyone noticing. It's not the fact that it got lost, it's the fact that they didn't follow the correct procedures to the problem. I don't put fingers to no person or blame anyone I just express my discontent with how things happened
A few days ago I wrote a review that today I can say that I am very thankful for the person who returned the bracelet to the farm, I am infinitely grateful, I apologize to the owners for all the inconvenience that we had to go through in one way or another, was not my intentions to discredit anyone or hurt anyone, I just felt frustrated and dissatisfied with how everything happened, but I know that we learns from our mistakes, And I know that this was the mistake for future learning, I will recommend this place and in the future I will go back to the farm again is a...
