A sweet park with a band shell/amphitheater on the river across from the Discovery Center and next to the Broward PAC. covered parking if $15 (approx) There are bathrooms. The walk along the dock to River Walllk isn't too bad. There are benches along the way and another cultural center. Today was the We, The People rally and March. #WeThePeople #WTP lots of folks showed up: meso American indigenous peoples came in full regalia, danced, changed, marched, smudge pots... a wide variety of issues were addressed. David Hogg (Parkland HS graduate and student when the school was "attacked" by a former student with an AR15... there's a big issues. Women's Rights organizations, represented and The BLM movement, with Woke reps spoke to the crowd, too, and the LGBTQ+ community came out in droves! All in solidarity to protest against DeSantis (1000+) policies which were hard fought and won! It's a start, and we're the ones to make a change! #UnitedStates #Democracy #GovDeSantis

Ignite Broward is an annual must-see event, running this year from Feb 14th to 23rd across three locations: Arts Park in Hollywood, Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale, and Mad Arts in Dania Beach. It’s a mix of immersive light and sound experiences created by top artists using cutting-edge digital technology. One of the best things? The free admission! Plus, they had a shuttle running between locations, making it super convenient to hop around without dealing with parking. I only had time to check out the Fort Lauderdale location at Esplanade Park, and it did not disappoint. The lights and music created an awesome atmosphere, especially for families with kids. It’s a perfect late afternoon or evening activity, and you can easily pair it with a stroll along the Riverwalk, a ride on the water trolley, or a visit to Las Olas Blvd and don’t miss the Thrive sculpture at the Flow apartment tower. If you missed it this year, mark your calendar for the next one!

This review is for the Vegan Block Party that happened on the 4th of July of July weekend, not the park itself: Positives: - If you're into vegan cuisine, you'll find a lot of good and different options to eat. - Large and convenient parking right across the street. -Police assigned to the event is around to ensure overall safety. -They have real restrooms instead of those portable ones. Negatives: - Very loud music making it very difficult to hold a conversation. -The park that they choose is very small for this type of event. Making it difficult to move, sit down, and not bump into people (we left early because of this one). -Some vendor prices are reasonable, but others are ridiculously expensive. -The parking, although convenient, charge a premium for the event. Overall, I wouldn't go back unless they change to a location for a bigger park next year.

I really love this park. I think it is one of the most beautiful places in Ft. Lauderdale. For years I have shot my Christmas card and holiday pictures here. A wide path winds along the New River and curves around before ending at the Broward Performing Arts Center. Amenities include benches and a picnic tables. Directly across from the Museum of Science and Discovery is a huge lawn and a large gazebo perfect for cultural arts performances. There is a bathroom adjacent to the gazebo. Along the sea wall is the perfect place to sit and watch the boats cruise by. Near the Performing Arts Center is the Ft. Lauderdale Police Memorial honoring fallen officers. Also in this area is the Lone Sailor Statue which is a replica of one at the United States Navy Memorial in Washington D.C. It stands in tribute to all of those who serve in the navy.

The most popular event held here is the Sunday Jazz Brunch held on the first Sunday of each month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other events held here during the year include the Riverwalk fall festival, Smoke on the Water BBQ Feast & Competition, Light up Lauderdale, and the Stone Crab and Seafood Festival. A full listing of events and dates can be found on the go riverwalk web site.

If you want to visit here especially during an event the best bet it to use the city parking garage across the street. There are a few street spots in front of the science museum. Himmarshee Village is located just a few steps down from the park offering a lot of great dining areas. Also nearby is the Old Ft. Lauderdale Village and Museum. With so much to see and do this area has become a vacation destination whether you are in the area for a visit or you are a local who just wants to play tourist...

I visited the Esplanade Park during the weekday and had a great time. The park is located in the heart of the city and is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. There are many different things to see and do at the park. The waterfront gardens are a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the view of the Singapore River. The pavilion is a great place to take a break and enjoy a drink or snack.

The Esplanade Park is part of the Riverwalk Park route, which is a 2.5 km long pedestrian and cycling path that runs along the Singapore River. The Riverwalk Park is a great way to explore the city and see some of the city's most famous landmarks.

The Park is a popular spot for hosting outdoor events, such as concerts, festivals, and markets. I was lucky enough to visit the park during a festival, and it was a lot of fun. There were food stalls, live music, and a lot of people enjoying the atmosphere.

The Esplanade Park is wheelchair accessible, and there are ramps and accessible toilets throughout the park. This makes it a great place for people of all abilities to enjoy. In addition to that there are public toilets located throughout the park, which is very convenient.

The park was filled with children during my visit, which made it a very lively and fun place to be. The children were playing in the gardens, running around, and enjoying the playground.

Overall, I had a great time visiting the Esplanade Park. It is a beautiful park with a lot to offer visitors. I would definitely recommend it to anyone...

Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a beautiful waterfront oasis that offers a perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment. Located at 400 SW 2nd St, this park is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy the scenic beauty of the New River and the vibrant atmosphere of downtown Fort Lauderdale1.

The park is well-maintained and features lush green spaces, making it an ideal spot for picnics, leisurely strolls, or simply unwinding by the water. The glass-covered pavilion and the band shell/amphitheater host a variety of events throughout the year, including live music concerts, festivals, and community gatherings2. Whether you’re attending the Winterfest Boat Parade or the Smoke on the Water BBQ Fest, there’s always something exciting happening at Esplanade Park2.

One of the highlights of the park is its accessibility. It’s conveniently located near the Riverwalk, allowing visitors to easily explore the surrounding areas. The free Water Trolley service is a fantastic way to get around and enjoy the scenic views of the river2. The park is also family-friendly, with plenty of open space for kids to play and enjoy the outdoors.

Overall, Esplanade Park is a gem in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. Its combination of beautiful scenery, engaging events, and convenient location make it a top destination for both locals and visitors. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable day out!
