Very unprofessional staff, horrible customer service, bad advice. ATTENTION CYCLING COMMUNITY Read story below... My experience at Battlefield bicycles was very frustrating. I took in my bike to get the gears adjusted and the bike mechanic was unable to index the gears correctly. Since I had recently changed the shift cables he told me that he would ride the bike and see if that would help work out the issues. During the time that he was working on the bike I watched him take a pair of pliers and grap a hold of my Dura Ace rear derailleur and try to adjust the derailleur hanger. When he removed the pliers he had left teeth marks from the pliers all along the face of my derailleur! He did not apologize or act like it was an issue. He later on told me that he could fix the bike but it would be 3-5 days till he could get to it. I eventually decided that I would take my bike home and seek a friends help. Later that day I decided I would take my bike out for a ride and see if I couldn't work out some of the problems LIKE THE MECHANIC AND ADVISED. During my ride my chain dropped off the big ring of my rear cassette and destroyed my rim, rear hub, and my rear cassette. Frustrated that I was told to ride a bike that was unsafe and that had such a horrible malfunction I called Battlefield Bicycles and let them know what had happened after their mechanic had worked on my bike. The mechanic said that he would not accept any responsibility and that it was not his fault. He said that if I brought my bike in he would get my bike up and running but made it clear that the shop was not going to be financially responsible for the repair. After telling him that I planned to take my business elsewhere to insure that the job was done right HE HUNG UP THE PHONE! I proceeded to call the shop back and speak the the owner and he refused to offer any compensation AND THEY NEVER ONCE APOLOGIZED! Very unfortunate that a bike shop displays this type of rudeness.CYCLING COMMUNITY please spread the word about this issue, and beware of getting bike...

Read moreWe had absolutely the best bike service we have ever had at this store in Fort Ogelthorpe and we have lived all over the country. We brought in a 12 year old bike that had never been tuned up and had multiple problems and they had it in perfect shape in three days! It was an expensive bike so we really didn't want to part with it. Stephanie (I believe that was the technician's name) explained each problem and how it was remedied and we received a detailed list of each repair and its cost. And there was NO hard sales pitch about coming back regularly, we were just told that we could wait five years at least, lol! The bike is used for commuting and we are very pleased with its like-new condition. They also have rental bikes (and electric bikes!) that looked really cool for touring the nearby battlefield if you are visiting the area. Highly...
