Repeat Street Thrift Store — Local services in Fort Walton Beach

Horrible experience! Found a small box of 45's Glenn Miller records in the electronic section..in a box that at first thought it was garbage. Was thrilled! I love Glenn Miller and listen to his records at home. With no price, i approached the elder male volunteer behind the main counter and he went to Google and saw that it went for $1,500...he said "I CANT SELL U THIS!!" As he puts the phone in my face to show me what he found...a gentleman in line looked it up and the same 45's records were $19.99. The guy behind the counter had found the manager "Candice", showed the $1,500 price on line and was BLINDED BY THE PRICE....complete greed took over... I explained that anyone could put a price on anything, that doesn't mean it's worth it. The same thing on line was $19.99 "NO, WE CANT SELL THIS!", Candice replied....with dollar signs in her eyes...I could read thru the lines..my responce was "I will never donate here, never shop here again, and u can keep your treasures because it's all about money, this is absurd"...I was sooo offended that a Christian based program would be sooooo consumed by greed that they couldn't think rationally...I have shoped at this thrift store for years and have been a generous donator...no more...completely disgusted. I will go to Google and gladly pay $19.99 for the same records and Repeat thrift store can treasure those 45's records as they sit for eternity...they have lost a customer, a contributing donater and I will tell ALL i know not to bother with Repeat thrift store because they don't represent what they preach. Super clean, well organized, super friendly and helpful staff. I have been to many thrift stores in my life and this is one of the cleanest and nicest smelling stores I've been to. Cards are 10 for $1... Jeans for $4. They even let you shop the "warehouse". They wash the garments that are on the sale floor. The furniture is nice. Prices are great!!! ☆☆UPDATE 11/12/22: We haven't been to Repeat Street in a long time. We got there late today(2:15 PM) and the store closes early on Saturday (3:00 PM). WE thought we'd hit the thrifting jackpot today! They didn't kick us out - they let us finish trying on the clothes we'd found and were so kind. Prices were great today on short sleeve shirts... $1. Prices are always good and fair. The shop is always clean and well organized. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We spent $50 and came out with some really...

I love this place. It was recommended to me by a friend as a great place to donate things after I moved the the area. I have taken many things here and appreciate the fact that the proceeds are put to good use getting people back on their feet and in the community.
