Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Fort Walton Beach

We have been ordering pizzas to carry out from Store #544 for probably 25+ years from their original location at 248 Eglin Parkway, FWB, FL. Our most frequent order is the family Special - Thin crust pepperoni & sausage plus thin crust The Works. In those many years, we have never gotten a bad pizza! They were reliably excellent! Until yesterday April 13, 2024 when my husband picked up our order from their new location at 98 Eglin Parkway! Our thin crust pepperoni & sausage pizza had an obviously burnt crust while our thin crust Works pizza was very badly UNDER cooked!! When you tried to pick up a slice of The Works, it sagged & flopped down limply! Whoever baked these 2 pizzas took their eye off the ball or off the timer! You could tell by looking at them that one was overcooked while the other was badly undercooked. So surprising after their perfect 25 year record!! New employee? New oven at new location? Dont know, but whoever was on supervisory duty failed to adequately supervise this person. Was it ready for pick up quickly? Yes, it was. But i care much more about getting a properly baked pizza than about the time! Im hoping to hear from the store manager about our very disappointing meal yesterday. Im not one to complain nor do i ever write negative reviews on restaurants’ websites! But this pizza was so badly cooked that i had to speak out! I probably should have called the...

Riddle me this … I place an order online at 11:32 - 11:50/12:01 was my estimated pick up time. I get here a little later , 12:08 I walk in there clearly closing up it’s a non looking busy end of the night and I all I wanted was the end of my evening to start too . So I go in the man tells me 7-8 mins I give them the benefit of the doubt because I’m already late and they aren’t busy . I go sit in my car in front of the door go back in at 12:19 and I said - I’m a little annoyed because it still shows making and I’ve been here over ten mins and I was late and the time I was given was awhile ago. He said your order has been ready since you walked out to wait ? I was like ok there’s been a delivery driver leave didn’t say a thing about my dying pizza they didn’t stick their heads out if the door give a thumbs up. So I’m just getting upset at this point the manager comes over and says do you want the pizza or not cause by now with all that talking it’s been even longer. Appalled , I said no I would like my birthday dinner and your bosses name she refuses to let me pay or get my dinner it’s 12:37 am at this point. Wow do better people and she said her boss would agree ?...

Eglin location..IMMEDIATELY ask for deals if you call for order out. The lady working New Year’s Day 2023 scammed me because I asked for deals on two medium pizzas as she was repeating back to me what I called in. I asked for deals on that well, according to her, I could no longer ask for deals “because I had placed my order”…ma’am I’m on the phone with you right now..the order isn’t finished…I say are there no deals for two mediums? She says “mmmm there are, but you’ve completed your order.” I didn’t. She refused to tell me any deals and completed my order; telling me it was a done deal and nothing could be done. I guess the deal takes money straight outta her pocket? She took it as a personal loss to go the not so extra mile and just tell me the deal I know they have. I would’ve cancelled it right then and called right back to ask for the deals if I didn’t think my food would be compromised. Terrible phone customer service from that lady. She needs retraining. I won’t soon order again. Just posting so others know to ask right away for the deals since they won’t help...
