The Old Fort — Local services in Fort Wayne

The Old Fort is a replica of the last fort built in Fort Wayne, based on the actual plans obtained from the Library of Congress. It was completed in 1976 for the bicentennial, then closed for a time before opening again as a non-profit. It is open on specific weekends for events, and if you wander down for a walk during any given day, you may find a willing volunteer who will show you around. Check the website for the official schedule of events and do your best to come see reenactors recreate the sounds and smells of eras past. This site is donation-based only, so everyone and everything you see happening here on any given day is funded entirely by donations from the public.
