Read moreMy wife has been wanting to go here for a while, so I finally acquiesced. I have to guess this is the only pickle concept retail store in the world and I was surprised to see it so full of visitors in the middle of a weekday. Kudos to the folks who had some vision to make it.
As you might expect, it's full of pickle merchandise (shirts, mugs, keychains, charms, dog toys, etc, and of course...pickles). They have some historical displays from the family business and some looping videos of the pickle process. I was secretly hoping this was part of the factory and we could see the manufacturing process, but it's not. It's in a up and coming refurbished loft area part of town and is nicely done and classy.
Some suggestions to management: Most of the shirts we saw were quite big for the indicated size. If you continue to use that vendor, please add some XS to the mix so they will fit true small women. It would be nice if the restroom was open, we had to cut our visit short because of this.
They have a green decorated Christmas tree up right now and is a great photo opportunity. There are some other photo setups for the family as well that result in nice shots, both inside and out.
In the end, we spent way too much money on pickle stuff, but if you're in the area, it's worth 20 minutes of your time just to...

Worth at any time in your life, you've probably tasted or have eaten Best Maid pickles. Like the name says, they are the "best maid " pickles in the world. The store tells the story of how the company started and how the pickles are made. Very interesting. Lots of memorabilia to see. Lots of merchandise to buy, and it's all pickle themed. Pickle chips, popcorn, fudge, cotton candy, and, of course, their famous pickles in different varieties. If you love pickles, one bite, and they'll be your favorite. Their factory is a short drive from this location, but if you pass by at just the right time, you'll get a whiff of the aroma of the pickles being "Maid". It's a very distinct aroma and will make you want one. So if you're in town, chances are you'll taste the pickles in a restaurant. Just about every store in town sells them as well. I'm glad our city home to the best pickles in the...
