Rent-A-Center — Local services in Fort Worth

Purchased a LG washer & dryer set from them in August by the end of October they dryer started to malfunction I then called the store and spoke to the manager who suggested that my dryer vent needed to be cleaned I then paid for that service to be done then shortly after same problem code D90. So I then proceeded to give another call back which I was told they would send it in for repairs. Two weeks later without a working dryer payment is due so of course I’m not willing to pay for something that doesn’t work so I switched off automatic payment. As soon as I do that some reached out to me immediately they swapped my LG with a much cheaper off brand dryer and kept my dryer for an additional two months. Moving along to January after numerous calls now my LG is finally ready once I withdraw automatic payment again only it hasn’t been fixed and has the same issue so I call again which I’m told they will let me know when something comes in. That never happens then I’m told to come see what else I want then I come in and they only have gas dryers. Then they come pick up both my washer and dryer tell me they won’t bring in the new set until payment is made I made the payment and then the driver drove off now I have no washer or dryer and a 0 balance due with no explanation. Judging from all the reviews I’ve seen on here this is a reoccurring problem with this particular Rent a center. Some one with more professionalism and better management skills needs to replace those in...

Rent a Center is convenient. Obviously you will pay more than something is worth in the long run but that's the catch for having items you couldn't afford otherwise. The only issue I had was with getting my items back. My dryer broke. They did pick it up and trade out for another however, that dryer also had a faulty heating element and was disgusting. Who wants to use something to dry their clothes when dog hair and other human hair would be on your clothes. I didn't hear anything back from anyone until I called two months after it was taken to get an update. They couldn't find it. Was told I would get a call back, I didn't. I called again two weeks later. They found it but still needed to be fixed, and again I was told I would get a call back. I didn't. Called again, no update. Finally after three months it was finished, two weeks before the three months mark but no one called to let us know. The only reason we received a call was due to me turning off automatic payments. Then the manager admitted he dropped the ball and took blame for me not hearing back and my dryer being kept an additional two weeks after it was fixed. Finally got my dryer back. I guess the moral of the story is, if you want them to call you for an update or anything at all turn off automatic payments...

This Rent a center is horrible! We just moved into a place and were trying to get an appliance Friday, and told me on the phone they could get it delivered that day. We waited all day and 5 minutes before they closed we called and they said they couldn’t find the appliance we wanted and that they will try tomorrow. So we called tomorrow 5+ times trying to get someone to tell us, at first they told us they couldn’t find the product and we said fine just give us any one you have and they said the one they have had damage and that they will be getting a different one but it won’t be till Monday. So we call Monday and the person who answered said it looks like their guys were picking up our appliance and would be there within a few hours! Great! But once again no delivery. So we call and Alexis informs us there was never any order to deliver this appliance, and that we hadn’t even picked a model yet. Which we did and we had been waiting for them to find it. So Alexis worked hard within an hour to find us the product and was going to get it delivered but in that time we found someone else who could get us one for cheaper. But you guys do not pay Alexis enough, she’s the only one there that seems to know how to run the damn place while all the other men just...
