My husband and I came in on Mother’s Day weekend to purchase gifts for our moms. We were not acknowledged, much less helped for about 40 or so minutes, and while I understand that it was a very busy weekend, there is no reason people should have been called to literally skip us in line when we knew exactly what we had come in for- we just needed to pick it up. Not to mention the dirty & weary looks we received the whole time. I can say that I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewers stating that you will be racially profiled and treated very differently in the store if you are a person of color, because that is what happened to us. On top of this, once we finally were able to make our purchases, we were given brown paper bags… to put our Mother’s Day gifts in. We were told they had run out of regular ones in the size that best fit our items (fine, BUT), when we see other non-POC customers receive bigger gift bags- so as to still have a gift bag- well, yeah we are going to leave with a sour taste in our mouths.
The cherry on top- upon seeing my first review and the experience I had at her store, the manager did end up reaching out to me to “discuss” what happened. Good customer service right, reaching out? Laughable. She ended up telling me over the phone that her staff “really is great” and it was “very busy that day”, went as far as to tell me that they likely just “had a rough day”, and that “they’re not like that” LOL! We all have bad days- I really get it. I guess at this store though, the effects of those are only projected onto people of color!

Read moreI went in last night looking for a gift. I was with my brother and the woman with the short white hair approached us several times, giving us information on the shoe/ bag we were eyeing . I felt like I couldn’t conversate with my brother comfortably so I would speak to him in Spanish in regards to the bags and his thoughts . She said “are you speaking Spanish, I don’t know that you can’t speak it “ . I thought I heard wrong, I had to have heard wrong . I see it everywhere and to think I looked past it . When we finally picked out the bag and were checking out I spoke Spanish again . Yet again she said I don’t understand what you are saying you can’t speak it . “ and ONCE AGAIN, I said to myself I HEARD WRONG , because there is no way this woman is telling me this. We left and first thing I asked my brother was, “ did I hear her wrong or ..” and he finished my sentence with “saying to not speak Spanish ?”.
He heard it too. I got upset for not saying anything . I don’t know if the other lady (employee) that was there with us heard it, because part of me being mistaken from hearing her wrong was because she has an accent and speaks so low . I hope management knows about the comments...
Read moreHighly disappointed with my experience. Staff was very friendly at first but my flats turned out to be a nightmare and they would not provide any assistance or try to fix it. Manager kept referring me to third party places, to 'stretch' the leather!!! An exchange or return was never offered! The flats are too small (and that tells me that I was NOT advised and helped properly in the store in the first place!), they're hurting my feet, only two weeks into the purchase and after like 2 or 3 times wearing them the metallic colored ornament shed color, the side of the shoe is highly non-durable too! I was told these will last me up to 2 years! These won't last a few months! But the worst part and the most embarrassing part is that they color my toes every single time I wear them!!! No matter if I have tight or socks on or not, it still colors! Enjoy your $300 for the piece but I will never return to this store or consider purchasing Tory Burch items again. Utterly disappointed. It's a rip off and completely unjustifiable and simply a...
