At first I was happy with the workout when I switched from F45 around 8 months ago. I Lost 5lbs while gaining some muscle according to the body scan machine they have that is the same as the f45 one. I noticed the facility was not as well kept as f45, for example the fans are completely full of dust and have been since I started. The window sills are so full of dust it’s actually gross. The bathrooms are not stocked with convenient items like f45, BFT and other gyms at the same price point as OTF. The staff way less friendly overall and the coaches not as observant to form/ offering modifications as F45. I liked the monitors and having them on the screen, I found it motivating so I kept going for a while now.
The front desk staff have been rude to other customers I’ve observed. For example denying people entrance to their first class with plenty of space bc they were not there 30 minutes early for a 5 minute tour before taking an hour class! I think it’s hard enough for so many people to squeeze a workout in that demanding they arrive 30 minutes early to an hour workout is excessive not to mention unnecessary. To be rude to them on top of that, I was unsure how this place stays in business.. but it is a good work out so I kept going. (I guess others feel the same).
Well today I was rushing to get to class and a few minutes late. Martin at the front desk said I couldn’t take the class and I asked if I would be charged for it. He said “yes Mariaaaa it’s in your contract.” In a very snarky tone, getting my name wrong on top of it. I walked out at 6:20 for a 6:15 am class in the morning after rushing to get there and workout. I decided this place is not for me anymore as I’m really looking for a friendly and motivating vibe in a place to workout and not added stress in an already stressful life. I recommend trying another location as this experience is all based only on the...
Read moreI am very disappointed at the poor management and poor customer service. I have been a member for a year and went to classes consistently. I loved the classes and the coaches but when it comes to making changes to membership or trying to have the manager call you back forget it! I called 5 times in a attempt to freeze my membership and left messages and spoke with several people about freezing my membership. They told me they would send me an email with a feeze form and a manager would call me back....which never happened. When I called back to check on the status of the email they told me i was already charged and the manager Aniessa Rodriquez told me i "would not be getting a refund". Her response was "if you were so concerned about it you should have checked your email closer". What they failed to tell me was that the email comes from panda.doc and not orange theory fitness. So not being informed of this i was looking for an email from OTF! Makes sense right. I asked if I could call corporate to request a refund and she said "go ahead they won't do anything for you". She ended the call saying "so I will go ahead and cancel your membership". I never wanted to cancel but now I do. The manager could not have been any more rude, condescending, and unprofessional on the phone. I would NOT recommend Casa Adobes location to anyone as their communication is horrible, they have lost several great coaches to poor management, and the way the manager treats customers is aweful. Orange theory all i wanted to do is get a refund for the account you charged that was suppose to be on freeze anyways. I would have resumed a month later and now you lost a customer for good and according to Facebook group sites looks like I am not the only one. Facebooks Oro valley community of women have at least 100 of personal complaints about very similar issues...
Read moreReally unfortunate customer service… this morning I arrived for my first class and was greeted with a rude and condescending response from front desk employee, Martin, stating that I was late, that I was supposed to be there 30 minutes early for a run- through pand that he “wasn’t sure if I missed that on the website”. I apologized and I take full responsibility for not paying closer attention to arrival time. My friend, whom I was taking class with, also informed me that before I arrived Martin was stating that I wouldn’t be allowed to take the class anymore. That being said, I arrived at class 10 minutes early and there was plenty of time to introduce me to the class. Owen, the instructor, was very nice and offered to take me through the routine. I said that I was familiar with the style of class and that I would be fine. The class went great and I had no issues. However, I would never sign up for a membership or return to this location based on how I was treated by your employee.
I saw another review on here stating that she observed the exact same thing happening from the same employee. Just really...
