ZL MEDSPA — Local services in Four Corners States

I really debated on whether to leave a review or not. But my experience was so discouraging I couldn't just let it go. I came as a referral from 2 separate friends who frequent ZL medspa. I was so excited. I had thought about doing botox for my crows feet and lip filler for some time. I had my first appointment in May for a consultation. During the consultation I told the esthetician I wanted botox and filler. She told me I didn't need botox even after I asked about getting it as a preventative. Ok, I took it in stride. I then told her I wanted lip filler and explained the volume I was requesting. She told me she would recommend 1 full syringe and likely another half syringe at follow up. She also told me she would be doing the cannula method and use a local block as she felt it worked better than traditional numbing cream. Ok, I was game for the plan. I paid in advance and made an appointment for the following week to have the filler. She also recommended I purchase skincare products. I paid 300 dollars for the 2 recommended skincare creams as I was determined to follow the recommended plan. During this week, I googled the cannula method and prepared myself for the method she set forth in my treatment plan. I arrived the following week to gave a different nurse do my injections. This took me aback as I work in Healthcare and traditionally the provider who creates the plan is the one who performs the procedure. I am easy going though, so I didn't think much of it. This injector did not use a local nor the cannula method. Again, I chocked it up to provider discretion and was fine with whatever she felt most comfortable with. She injected 0.6ml and told me she thought that was enough and they were pretty. I genuinely wanted the full syringe, and had paid for a full syringe already, but I felt uncomfortable and didn't want to seem silly so I agreed to let this settle and get the remaining syringe done at the 2 week follow up appointment. At my 2 week follow up appointment I received my additional portion of the syringe. I already knew that I likely would want additional filler but was happy to come back in 4 weeks to discuss it. Fast forward to a month later. I come to my follow up appointment and explain that I think she did a lovely job with the shape but I definitely wanted more volume. As discussed at my initial consultation. She told me that she didn't want to do additional filler as it would over inflate my lips and as an injector her name was on her work and it needed to look natural. At this point I just started crying. My lips look darn near identical to before I had the filler. I will attach a picture to show how little change there was. The wind had been knocked out of my sails. I felt like my expectations were ludicrous and left the office feeling discouraged. I went for filler and botox and was denied botox and made to feel like my desires for filler would make my lips unnatural. This is really an incredible place to go for your skin – the team is a real A-Team. I’m impressed by every person I interact with here. Laura is an uber expert and answers all my in-depth questions about the science behind the different treatments. The way she combines different treatments and puts together the right plan has helped me get to younger looking skin even as I age. Who would’ve thought that’s possible?? I have a great deal of respect for her and trust her judgment, which is a big deal for me. Liane for my Hydro facials is amazing!! She did a dermaplane and hydro facial and my skin feels like butter. I really appreciated her in-depth expertise and how she didn’t try to sell on anything but rather figure out what was best for my skin. That’s what I really love about this Med Spa in general. Leslie at the front desk is the resident expert On skin care products and the ingredients and how they interact with each other. She really didn’t have to, but she helped me organize my entire skin care regimen with which included products that are not part of what is sold at this clinic. It was a kindness and I greatly appreciated it. She helped me figure out where I was wasting products by combining them when they had similar ingredients, etc. I felt so much clearer about what each part of my regimen was doing and whether I really needed it. I think the biggest thing about this clinic is that they don’t oversell you – they Genuinely want to help and are trying to create the best plan that works for your goals. In my life i’ve only lived in big cities – Paris, London, San Francisco, Tokyo. Adelia is incredible—she’s so knowledgeable and truly makes you feel at home. She always takes the time to answer all my questions thoroughly and never makes me feel pressured. Leslie is like my personal care manager. She is so sweet and kind to everyone and does an amazing job keeping me on track with my appointments and treatments.

I decided to invest in the AGING package, which includes 6 BBL and 6 Hydrofacials, and it has been a game-changer for my skin. The consistency in skincare has delivered incredible results. I also purchased 3 MOXIES, which really jump-started my journey. Looking back at photos from just a couple of years ago, I see a 99% improvement in my skin. The compliments I get now are endless, and I owe it all to ZL Medspa.

Laura Zimmerman, NP, is a master when it comes to tox injections. She is so precise and knowledgeable—by far the best I’ve ever been to in over 20 years of getting treatments. I love that they charge by the area instead of by the unit, and the 2-week follow-up visit for touch-ups (if needed) is included. Laura truly gets it right every time. I’m already looking forward to my next Daxxify Tox session with her!

I’m so excited to purchase my 2025 package—they have options tailored to everyone’s needs. I can’t wait to continue my laser and Hydrofacial treatments with Adelia and my injectables with Laura.
