Tap & Bottle has a very cool hipster Vive going on about it. Unfortunately though, I feel that their beer selection that something really to be desired. Their entire menu is completely dominated by the IPA varieties of beer. I'm more of a stout drinker, and when I went in the other day, I was referred to part of the menu for "Dark and Roasty". There were 4 options. Compared to the 17 IPA options, we were off to a bad start. Of those 4 Options, for whatever reason there was a Märzen in there, which is a lighter beer usually. So really i had 3 options to pick from. And of those 3, one was out. So I had 2 options. Unfortunately those last two options were a coconut Stout, and something that was about 11%. And I got to drive home.
The menu of the two times that I have gone as contained zero Red, and zero brown ales. For a "Tap Room" I find this to be pretty sad. Especially when if I am searching for those types of beers in a "Tap House", I don't think I should be referred to their large beer refrigerators for those beer types. I came here to get beer poured out of a tap. Not out of the can. if I needed that, I would go to my local grocer and get it. Especially when it is still $5 a pop for a can of beer. It just makes no sense.
Long story short, if you looking for an IPA, or a pale ale. This place has got you covered. There has a huge selection of IPA beers that will make any IPA addict extremely happy. But if you're like me and you prefer a shade darker or a wide variety, you really should search elsewhere. Unless you are comfortable drinking out of a can, while your friends sip something streight...
Read moreTap & Bottle is a beer fanatic's haven! They have 30 taps for their most popular beers and 12 wines on tap as well (if that's your thing). Their bottle shop has an incredible amount of variety as well in every beer type. One thing I love is the representation of local AZ breweries for every variety of beer, but they have plenty of out of state distribution as well. On top of that, you'll see these companies at other stores, but you won't find these niche brews they make unless you come to T&B. They also have a selection of meads, ciders, and things like barley wines. Limited, but there are options.
Due to COVID: They do not have sit down options at this time, and only 2 people allowed in their bottle shop at a time. Its never been an issue when I've visited. You can pick your own (they provide gloves for you as well), the staff can pick them at your direction, they can fill growlers for you and even deliver to you.
The staff is always welcoming and knowledgeable. Its a...
