I went in to check the white 2010 Mitsubishi lancer. The dealer was not willing to negotiate even though the car did not turn on. He took a while to come with and excuse on why it didn't turn on and said it was due to the battery. I asked him to pop the hood and and the battery was brand new and the car was able to turn to the "on" position so I knew it wasn't the battery. Plus he said that one of his guy must of left something on but he stated that he was alone and the key was indoor and nothing was on in the car. I went ahead and turn car on "on" position and the car had overheated!! That is around a 1000 dollar fix on top of the asking price!! Don't trust the vehicles here! Or at least make sure you analyze the car first. Dealer is a liar, Overpriced and not willing to negotiate even though the car was not working.
-This is in response to the owner: First, it was in my best interest to purchase the car. I offered $6000 on top of the taxes & fees as an initial starting price after the car did not turn on. However, he decline and was not willing to negotiate. The last offer I gave was $8000 with fees and taxes included but he decline that as well. I asked for the vehicle history but stated that he did not provide that so how will I know if it didn't suffer from other issues. As for doing things to make the car not start, seriously? That's BS! and the worse thing you can come up with! You were there when we tried to turn it on! You were so confident that the car will turn on but when it didn't you took a while before giving an excuse. You stated that you turned it on right after we left but why didn't you turn it on while we were there? You couldn't. You are no dealer you are a scammer. He let me spend as much time as I needed to look at the car, ask questions and crunch the numbers. Once I did decide to purchase the car, the transaction was smooth and seamless.
