11JAN2023: tried one last time because it's the only place I know that rents carpet cleaners. The thing was full of dirt and reeked of mildew. Within the first three passes my entire apartment smelled of mildew. Not a refund insight. Please for your own health do not visit the store.
23DEC2022: you're officially cut all ties with giant because of the store. Month after month of calling ahead asking if my daughters prescription I've heard for pickup yes, I want to come to the store and be told they couldn't find it or that need to walk around and it'll be ready in 15 minutes. Make matters worse normally, 6 of the last seven times, we were told "the prescription is for 30 pills however we only have 21 so either you can take this medication that your daughter needs and only have 21 pills or wait for us to order more". Pretty sure the entire store should be shut down and each employee in the pharmacy should have their licenses taken.
Edit:
Train your MANAGERS how to do scan it audits on your mobile app. Wasted over an hour on a $300+ shopping trip. Another 20 minutes while the genius in charge couldn't figure out what Giant even had an app, and then said sorry nothing we can do. Been using this app for years, today your bench warmer has me going to Wegmans where I've yet to have issues with their app. Interior products but superior service.
Further edit: Wegmans had the same stuff, plus name brand since their shelves weren't empty the day before Thanksgiving, for less than half the price at Giant.
Clearly when making their display cupcakes they forgot the sugar and tripled down on the salt. It was the most sour and salty piece of food I've had in my life. Too boot the person at the counter was clearly bothered by my standing there. No pictures of the cupcakes because I couldn't have thrown them away fast enough.
Previously had a mini cookie cake for Valentine's day and it was extremely soggy. They had to be new as they were not there the day before. Challah is just meh, happy to have it there but flavor isn't great.
Instead of going to the bakery just go down a few isles and make it yourself....or...
Read moreA family member of mine went through being scammed on the phone by a fake DEA agent and ended up buying multiple $500 gift cards from this store. A huge mistake and one she feels awful for falling for, but it is how Giant Customer Service treated us afterwards and finding out that employee's did not follow the steps when selling multiple gifts cards is why I am writing this review.
Not one employee flagged buying multiple $500 gift cards as suspicious, nor followed protocol; by alerting a store manager of a purchase more than $200 in gift cards. After the catching the scam midway, family member still had 2 unused gift cards and in a chance to see if a refund was possible or to explore other options in what could be done, we talked with customer service and got the store manager to come talk with us. I believe her name was Debra or something similar, but in explaining the situation she was cold, talked more about the store's position in the matter; pushing away the concerns and questions about the customer/available options and when as far to ridicule us becoming victims in a scam; saying "No one should fall for a obvious scam" and "I would have realized it" straight to us.
Beware of the staff here, not only did the cashier not follow the rules of their work station, but it goes all the way to the store manager devaluing the questions and concerns of a customer just lost a few thousand dollars buying from your store.
As far as the store itself; it's a decent grocery store, it has good coupons/app, and deals on pet food. I never talked with the staff too much, but now that I have had the chance to talk with a couple of employees and a manager, saw how they conducted themselves and in the manner of speech used to us... Makes me really not want to shop...
Read moreThis store for the most part is pretty great. It is one of the larger Giants in this area and their selection is actually pretty good. I don’t love the parking lot though and it can be tough getting in and out of a parking spot with everything going on. The one drawback is that some of employees can be rather unfriendly and then there are some nice ones. There used to be a lady there named Sharon who was one of the bigwigs there and she was soooooo incredibly rude and dismissive and I was shocked at how she treated employees. All in all, I like this store quite a bit and if you are looking for specific items that are hard to find it is a great store and it is always clean and the associates all wear mask which I appreciate.
Thank you owner for responding. It was my first time doing a drive up order w Giant and I nowhere saw that 1 quantity of bananas was a bunch so I got 8 bunches of bananas. Was a little surprised when I got home and had a whole bag of bananas. On Instacart and Shipt which I belong to, you order the quantity of bananas that you want I called the store and talked to the guy who picked my order and brought it to my car who by the way was super friendly and nice and he said since it was my first time he’d refund my 6 bunches I said look I’m going to hand out lunches to the homeless in DC tomorrow and I’ll just give them bananas also so no worries. He said keep the bananas and I’ll refund you the 6 bunches which I thought was so nice and now I know about banana ordering. Lol. Well he never refunded my account. You might want to tell them if they say they are going to do something they should 😬. An update to add- he did refund the dumb bananas lol and was the nicest guy I’ve encountered in curbside service yet....
