Worse company I have been to in a very long time. Very much a pressure sale. When trying samples, my son was asked which of two he likes better and the the guy states “so I’ll put it at the register to buy”. My son is very non confrontational so felt pressured to buy. There are no prices for anything except a small sign for just the jerky that one would not have seen had it not been pointed out to me. $43 for a “family bag” (so not a family size. It would be $15 at a normal store) which is the one he tried to get my son to buy. No way is a teen able to afford $43 for a bag of jerky! It was me who stepped in and pointed out the pricing to my son. He didn’t want me to say “no” so he choose to buy a “normal” size bag for $21. My issue is that nothing is priced, when my son went to pay he was not given a total price (just to insert his card) nor a receipt for his purchase. He had to find out from the bank that he spend $52, and that $20 of that was from one small piece gator meat. Yes, my son learned a lesson to verify things before inserting his card, but this company is also sketchy because of giving no total balance or receipt! I was looking for a place to take my dad for Father’s Day this year. I wanted to do something different for him than what we usually do & I know he loves beef jerky. I stumbled upon this place after doing a google search of local “things-to-do”. I thought I’d check it out since it had so many 5 star reviews. Let me just say, I was beyond impressed. Like someone else mentioned in their review, We were greeted at the door by Manuel who also gave us a tour & provided samples for us to taste. Once he heard us say something in Spanish, he disclosed that he also spoke Spanish. He did a great job of making us feel welcomed and was very knowledgeable, not only about beef jerky but educated us a bit about Spain. If you like beef jerky then this place is as close to perfect as you can get. There are so many different types of jerky from the classic to Angus to bacon jerky, turkey jerky, etc. There are different size packs AND there are different flavors of a single type. For example there is a standard and a smoked version or a honey BBC or smoked. There is so much to select from and so many types I had never seen before. In addition to this, they sell a variety of other things such as types of popcorn, nuts, etc. The staff is exceptional. They know their product well, give great descriptions and make pertinent suggestions. Plenty of parking and easy access for handicapped people.
