Terrible cashier, I mean the worst cashier I've ever come into contact with in my life (obviously I haven't been around a lot).
I myself am a cashier, and I have had the worst customers ever come in to Goodwill. Even with the most putrid, horrible, unrelenting, verbally abusive customers, I STILL have a huge smile on my face and ask them what I can do to make their experience better. And if I can't do what they want, I call over a manager to help sort anything out. However, if customers come in a few minutes before we close, things change.
I hate when customers come in at 8:45; we close at 9:00! It irritates the living daylight out of me! But do I treat them any differently? No!
Customer walks in* Me: "Hello! Just wanted to let you guys know we DO close 15 minutes, just so y'all know." Customer: "Alright, thanks!"
Were there any mean sounding phrases or sentences? Nope, just me informing our customer that they have 15 minutes to get the heck outta Dodge! But this lady, this cashier, what did she do when I walked in the door?
Me, walks into Hobby Lobby* Cashier lady glowers at me*
Nothing, not even a simple "Hello!" So, what do I do? I walk over to the very nice Hispanic man who's looking at me from a distance. I tell him I know they're closing in a hot minute, and that I just need to find one simple thing. I show him exactly what I need to find, and he stops what he's doing and, in a quite positive attitude, walks back and tries to find it for me as I follow. We find a couple of what appears to be the right thing, so I head to the register to check out.
Cashier ladies line, and I get to the front finally* Old white lady: "Hello, this is it?" Me: "Yeah, let me just look at the instructions real quick if that's alright." Find out that it's the wrong kind, and need to get a different one. I know exactly where the others were, and told her: "I know exactly where they are, and I can run back and get exactly what I need in like, 10 seconds (literally, the thing I needed was a couple aisles down from where I was at the registers)." Angry cashier lady: "okay, well, I'll need to cancel your order." Me: "no, really, see I know exactly where they are. It'd probably take me no less than 15 seconds to go get the exact thing I need and be back here." Stupid, tired, grumpy lady: "no, I have to cancel it. I can help you!" she says, as the people right behind me in line who were equally as shocked at the minimally problematic situation I would have caused if she would have let me just run back, get the little bottle of stuff I needed, and run back. No joke, literally, really literally, would have taken less than 15 seconds for me to go back and get that little bottle of stuff and come back. Seriously ridiculous the kind of attitude she had with me, too.
There was one other fit after that, but honestly, this is already too long of a review. Heck, I barely make reviews unless I'm forced to (never).
TL;DR This old white lady with white hair I can't remember the name of, was worse of a cashier at a place better looking, and smelling than Goodwill (where I work as a cashier). And on top of that, she's suppose to be working for a Christian company. Man, she really needs to tone it down, take a chill pill, or maybe take a nap.
If you want a great guy to show you around the store at Hobby Lobby, hit up my man, "that Hispanic guy with a blue shopping...
Read moreI went in for one thing and left without it. Not for lack of effort on my part. I asked two different employees. One said they didn’t have it or anything like it. He directed me to go to Joann fabrics. I asked another associate at the front of the store who had me follow her around asking her the question. She said walk with me and ask. I asked her about the item I was looking for and she directed me to a particular aisle in the store that did not carry what I was looking for because she had bothered to actually listen or look at the image on my phone I was trying to show her. I went back to the front of the store and this time was able to get her to look at my phone in which case she told me she didn’t realize that was what I was looking for. No kidding. Then she said what I wanted was on an end cap Somewhere in the middle to the backish of the store. I went on the hunt again. I eventually gave up and left. I will not be returning. Ironically one of my friends told me they saw them there the other day which means they do carry it I just couldn’t find it. I guess I’ll...
Read moreWhile it has been one of my favorite places for hobby and craft materials, the management team sucks! I was just asked to leave the store and never return because of a misunderstanding between me and an associate. I am suffering from the side effects of chemotherapy and have neuropathy in hands and feet, which is causing balance issues. I extended my hands to greet and wish an associate "Merry Christmas" and lost my balance. She had her hands out so I took her hands to steady myself. I guess she thought I was trying to hug her. Which I wasnt. I'm sorry if it upset her, but she knew of my cancer treatment and the issues I was having. I won't miss the treatment I was subjected to, and will not refer anyone else to this store ever again. A proclaimed Christian business. Not what I would have expected from the Christ I know and love....
