This place easily could have gotten a much better review if they would have just acknowledged their mistakes and responded timely to us! We had our granite counters installed on March 29 and immediately after the installers left I called and spoke to Lena - I told her about a few issues we had 1-someone stepped on and broke a floor board, 2-a chair rail was torn off the wall and the wallpaper beneath it was ripped, 3-a gouge was taken out of the door frame when they came in and 4-a small ding by an outlet in the kitchen (the only oops I truly understand). She asked for pictures, which I sent at that time. 8 days later and she still did not reply, so I re-sent the pictures and asked if that was her policy. She did reply and apologize for the delay - but her only response was that she spoke to "my wife" last week. (I am that wife she was referring to) she just assumed the e-mail was from my husband! She told me that her crew had moved the chair rail out of the way and that is was broken already. That chair rail is mounted to a wall and has not been off since we put it on almost 20 years ago! She offered to send someone out to fix the little dings a week after the counters were installed. By that time, we were finishing our kitchen painting and cleaning so we had to delay that so we could fix their mistakes. No one would even tell us what they did, they just asked us to check the counters and see if they looked okay and check that they caulked. After they left, we noticed the other issues. People make mistakes - but it would be nice if this place would own it and at least apologize for what they did. It is frustrating to speak to someone who tells you "this never happens" - well it did this time and you chose to ignore us. On a positive note, my counters do look very nice. The installation of our new kitchen countertops & backsplash went very smoothly thanks to the exceptional team at Wisconsin Granite Design. Let me start by saying that they have an amazing showroom with a vast selection & at varying price points. Walking into their show room & being guided by Sue from day 1 made the process easy! She is definitely a priceless gem in the showroom & we couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience working with her from beginning to end. She was professional, sweet & extremely knowledgeable. She pointed out several samples that fit my design aesthetic & then gave us the space to wander the showroom to see everything without pressuring us to hurry & make a decision. We went back several times after our first visit taking samples to view in our space. She was patient & answered all our questions & even recommended going to the MSI design center warehouse to see the 2 samples in their slab form. This was extremely helpful determining between them since the samples were similar looking. When we were finally ready with our decision, Sue took her time to explain how the process would work beginning to end. When David V. came to measure for our counters & backsplash he was also very professional, pleasant & knowledgeable when making some crucial decisions as to design aesthetic.
