I like Kroger in Springfield, however I will never come back to the Franklin store. There was only 1 cashier and 1 bag guy for the entire store. The cashier, Cristal looked frustrated when I asked what lane had a cashier since the lane lights were on, but no one was around. She complained several times while ringing me up that she is also the only employee to watch the self checkout and work a normal check out lane. She told several people that came up behind me in line that she was closed and that they need too do self checkout. I could hear the verbal sighs from the customers because no one was available to check them out. Obviously management needs to do a better job scheduling cashiers. I support employees that want to work. I normally like to be checked out by a person & not a computer. I had over 25 items from the Easter clearance and don't trust the self check computer to ring me up correctly. I'm also disabled and normally ask for help loading my car. When I first asked Cristal for help out, she just ignored me. When I asked for help out a second time, Cristal just sighed and asked the bag guy to help me out. There were quite a bit of employees throughout the store so staffing the registers should not be a problem. This was my 1st and only time that I came into this location. I went in the store for a $3.00 box of oatmeal. I ended up spending $150 with truly poor customer service. Shame on the store manager & shame on Cristal for her constant complaining while...
Read moreI figured I would share an interaction I had with a self checkout employee named Kelli (Kelly?) on October 7, 2020 around 2:05-2:10PM. I had gone a quick run. I was checking out and the register prompted an ID check. There was another man waiting to be assisted while Kelli was helping another customer. I know it’s being recorded, you can reference the recordings. Kelli never once said one moment or even held up a finger stating one moment. She refused to make eye contact with us while we waited. Another employee just walks by not willing to help. Eventually Kelli helps the other gentleman. As Kelli starts to walk away, she notices my sign blinking and Kelli rolls her eyes. She rolls her eyes... I am paying money to shop at your grocery store, I even do the work of checking myself out and she has the audacity to roll her eyes because your register is promoting her to check it. I’m sorry she’s getting paid TO DO...
Read moreThis Kroger takes the cake for poor customer service And indeed tries to make it worse on the customer if they can. I went into purchase a six pack of beer I am 61 years old I handed them my license in my wallet so he could read the birthday I was told no no you must remove it from your wallet from the plastic which it is stuck to. I said come on dude it's stuck to my wallet. He said we can't sell you beer If you don't remove it from your wallet. I spoke to Terry the supposed manager who told me oh yes that's a state law You have to remove it from your wallet for us to sell you alcohol. Not only is it not a state law it is not a Kroger policy yet Mr Terry decided to not just intervene and say look he's 60 years old just look at his ID and put in the birthday oh no they make it as difficult as possible and refuse to sell me beer. What a joke I'm...
