Halal Market — Local services in Frederick

I'm not going back because I just discovered that they charge a surcharge fee when you use a credit card, and they put a long statement at the check out station that it is legal to add that extra fee to your check to cover the credit card processing fee, which makes no sense because this is part of the charges that a business owner should accept, and it is not the responsibility of the customer! I guess because they don't have that much of a competitor store nearby, they think they can treat customers the way they like and they don't have an option to go anyplace else, but the nice thing is that so many other grocery stores also provide Halal meat in Frederick, and although I like to support local store I am not going back to store when I don't feel being respected...

Salaams, in my brief visit in Frederick, MD, the owner, Abu Siyaam was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. My shopping experience was nothing short of stellar. Furthermore, I noticed that he is well integrated in the community of Frederick, especially the Muslim community (Alhamdulilah), which further enhanced my experience shopping at Halal Market, it was a very homey experience. This is the 3rd time I get meat here but all three time the meat is terribly old and is mostly fat. I always ask them to remove fat but they never do. God knows what type of meat they gave me because it's definitely not fresh beef. I'm never going back to this place and don't recommend it to anyone.
