I went here to listen to a band play Irish music. Had a table of 16 or so expecting to have a wonderful upbeat time. The place is everything but that. Small, dark and dingy is the first feeling you get. Not an inviting atmosphere. They tell you several times and gave many signs to remind you to shut up during the performance. I didn't realize I was going to listen to a band and have to sit there quietly and not enjoy a time with my friends. Not to mention a friend got up and went around the table to talk to me (to whisper in my ear and we were the table in the back so no one but the owners behind us) and while she was bent over whispering in my ear during a band playing, she was told like a child to be quiet and go sit down. I'm not into paying to be treated like a child. If it was a play or something that warranted a quiet atmosphere then I get it but not during a Half way to St Patrick's Day band playing music, God forbid you make a noise and sing along! I won't be back Do...

The only available food is take-out from a neighboring restaurant, but no food can be ordered after 7:30p. I know this is Maine, but cutting off that early is a bold (i.e., disappointing) choice for a gig that started at 7p.
I'm just now piecing together that this is where a local friend was playing some months ago but suggested it would really be fine to just stream it at home from the venue's Facebook page.
I like a good listening room, but Cadenza could use a few adjustments to live up to what...
