Maurices — Local services in Freeport

BUYER BEWARE NOTICE! Recently rediscovered Maurices, I like the clothes, the styles, good deals. BUT.... Little known fact... the Freeport IL store puts your purchases in USED Maurices bags that people return items in!! Soooo, if prev person smoked, your stuff will now smell like smoke and prob your car too. If prev person had a pet, your new things may now have pet hair on them. Or, even worse if their pet peed on the bag, the bag sits in your car and now your car and your new clothes smell like animal pee! Ohhh, and when you ask the sales clerk and she tells you...."We at Maurices believe in recycling " insinuating that you do not; which is totally wrong, and give attitude and take it personally because I did not like that she did that without at least asking me if it would be ok. Then, walk away without thanking me for shopping there. Unfortunately, I do not want a bag that left the store and came back when who knows what or where that bag has been, no thank you!! So we will have had a short lived reunion. I will Not shop here again with these policies in place. I've managed to stay clothed without them for the past years, I will survive without them again. I'm considering returning everything I purchased!! Found my own solution.... Now shop at Maurices in Monroe Wi, only a short drive and staff much friendlier and less...

Absolutely terrible, the manager there is all about drama, she acts super nice and phony to your face. She’s just rude, she needs to grow up and act her age. Being a mean girl isn’t cool. The store was very messy when I went there, no one greated me or asked if I needed a dressing room. The two girls at the register seems like they were talking bad about me while I was shopping. If you visited one Maurices, you've visited them all... No issues with customer service, I was greeted as soon as I entered the building. The staff was super helpful, courteous and made sure my visit was a pleasant one. I found the prices to be reasonable and the clothing selection...
