I recently got an eye problem - after a long flight home my left eye suddenly became very red and had heavy sticky glue-like discharge. I got very concerned and wanted to see a doctor. Unfortunately I found out my health insurance with Kaiser showed me as uncovered even though I should have it since Jan 1, 2025. Feeling worried and helpless, I tried calling Dr. Tan, who was my late mother's eye doctor for the past 20 years, and she was so kind to call me back, gave me an on-line diagnosis and gave me prescriptions! Even though I was able to get my health insurance problem solved and saw a Kaiser doctor so that I can get the prescribed eye drops from Kaiser pharmacy the next day, I still deeply appreciated Dr. Tan's kindness - she diagnosed my eye infection, prescribed the medicines, within just about 2 hours of my calling, to me, a non-patient of hers! And when I asked how much I owed her, she told me never mind. Just think where can you expect to find a doctor like her?! å»č ä»åæļ¼...

She knows that, she is Chinese and also speaks Chinese but still from time to time talked English to my dad and said āyou should know some English hereā. Who she thinks she is that sheās able to educate and judge patient like this? This is obviously a discrimination against people who donāt speak English. She also said my dad is STUPID. How rude she is! When she gave me a form which I thought it has been completed by her and I took the form and about to leave, she yelled at me for asking me returning the form. I still couldnāt forget her bad attitude, disrespectful language and angry face even though covered by the mask. She has no love, compassion, respect and patience to her patients. We decided to change the office due to rude, disrespectful and very unprofessional reception. The receptionist kept yelling and cutting off the conversation. She even cut the phone line even I am not done with talking. I feel so bad for Fang Tan ,MD who is losing patients due to this receptionist. AGAINā¦.WORST...
