Dunham's Sports — Local services in Frenchtown Charter Township

Dunham's is the Big Lots of the sporting goods stores. They have a bit of everything, but very limited selection. Guess it's a sign of the times, but hunting gear and guns have been an endangered species in this store every time I've gone in there. Buying any caliber ammo from them will be a story we tell our grandchildren and will be about as believable as the Easter bunny or the tooth fairy. Hope you like nothing because that's the ammo selection they have. If you like name brand clothes for what you would expect to pay for them then this is your place. Hopefully you're not a huge land monster like me because if you are, none of their clothes will be your size. But if you're a womans small or a mens medium, this is your Nordstrom's. This place also has more Hats than the hat store Lids in the mall. If you're in the market for an over priced camp chair or a mass produced kayak in outrageous colors that the blind even hate, say no more fam and bring your Creepy Joe...

I've shopped here many times and am a Dunham's rewards member, however I think I'll be shopping elsewhere from now on. The young man behind the rifle counter was helpful and courteous. The item I was interested in was a red dot sight. The item ended up being on a tag that was marked incorrectly. After about 15 minutes the sales rep offered me 25% discount since that was the last item, and the battery was worn out, which I thought was fair. He then told me that the item was actually marked incorrectly, and that the optic was cheaper than the tag on the box indicated, and to tell the cashier about the price mismatch and the 25% discount. EDIT: I had a problem with the in store manager and contacted the corporate store about my issue. The regional director took great care of the issue and saved the day. The employees are always nice did not have a problem previously when my boyfriend purchased his gun from this location but the staff really needs to pay better attention! I understand the no return policy on guns but with that being said your employees need to make sure the tiny details match up to the gun someone says they want. The one I wanted had a safety, the man went over everything with me I go upfront to pay thinking I was getting the gun I wanted which was by the same company but once I get home I notice there is no safety, it’s the same price as the one I told the man I wanted to purchase but it is a slightly different make of the gun with no safety.
