Leo’s Coney Island — Restaurant in Frenchtown Charter Township

2x dining in not great so figured well we love the food lets just get it take out. So 2x carryout. Won't be a 5th chance for my fool self. Simple order: 2 salads & a coney combo [coney dog + fries + drink] 1st time no drink. I was distracted by making sure we got adequate dressing for salads (because dine-in there had taught us the requirement to both specifically ask & pay extra for it) Still I was so glad we got enough in the bag I gushed thanks to waitress, tipped her cash & didn't realize I'd been shorted the drink until home. No it wasn't me forgetting to pick it up from the counter. It wasn't served. So 2nd time I politely specified please make sure I get the coke, as I didn't last time. Arrived to a bag double knot tied & the coke so figured we're golden now. Nope. Unknotted the bag at home & no fries. So my coney combo person getting shorted twice on their meal. Not doing it. Took the whole order back. Treated like I was petty. Refund my almost $40 over missing fries. Yes Sir. Made sure to collect that 50 cents on my dressing so trust y'all already knew petty before you met me. No worries I finally learned to keep heading over to R Diner like always, before I got happier than need be to have a Leo's in town. Maybe Delta or R Diner will expand into the space when this...

I hate leaving bad reviews and I’m all about giving second chances (in this case 4 chances) every time we’ve been here the service has been good the waitresses are always so friendly but geez the food is absolutely horrible. 2 different time I ordered chicken tender dinner and my tenders came out cold and rubbery both occasions it’s as if they microwaved it. Then my husband on another occasion ordered fish and it came out not even cooked (eeww) and way to get someone severely ill then my chicken salad was disappointing and gross the chicken was so hard and burnt and clearly overdone. I was also served my cup of chili with an OPEN half eaten pack of oyster crackers. I mean come on now. We spent a lot of money every time plus tip to not eat at home for crappy food. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but after this last time we’ll never ever return and it sucks cause they are the only Leo’s close to our house! I hope the food quality gets better because it’s disgusting and super disappointing just be aware if you go here your food is probably microwaved and rushed. Review of 9/4/24 carryout. Changed my rating to 3 stars. I ordered a small Greek Salad which I’ve had during every dine in or carryout order (7 or 8 total orders) since the place opened. Today’s effort was nothing but disappointing. Lettuce is tired looking , rusty in many places and accompanied by a single (One) beet slice, and single peppercini . The menu clearly says “beets” (plural - more than one). I made the mistake of tipping the carryout server cash before checking my food quality, but never again. Leo’s you have to do better quality and quantity wise. My first review is below.

I had a Greek Salad with a cup of chicken noodle soup. Salad was prepared exactly as I requested. Soup was ok but over seasoned with I’m not sure what; they need to work on this.

Our server was friendly and attentive. We’ll be back. We are so glad Leo’s is in Monroe. Four star rating...
