whoever is at the front desk taking calls and making appointments is rude or easily makes it impossible to want to be a patient. I requested an appointment online and after 3/4 days I received a call and was more than happy to hear from them but she immediately made a comment that a voicemail was left for me and I apologize stating I hadn’t received a call nor a voicemail from the office and she replied with “well we called you, it’s on our system” and I repeated I hadn’t had a call but thanks for calling regardless and went out of her way again to state if her system says she called then it’s true. OK Karen lol. then when I made my appointment she stated that it was unclear if my insurance would cover it or not but she’d let me know if i’d be out of pocket or not. I said i’d like to know before attending and paying $100+ for benefits i know my insurance covers. Come day of appointment I never received any information so when she calls about my appointment and I explain i’m still waiting to know wether i am being covered she burst into laughter with a snark remark saying I clearly didn’t listen and she said she’d let me know. I told her i’m not paying or attending if she can’t let me know beforehand and she...
Read moreTwo years ago, I contacted Kristi, asking she or any of her co-workers could help me. I was 38, struggling with self-harm, panic attacks, and various eating disorders. She asked me to describe my needs in an email, and, based on that, she paired me up with Kari Moll.

Yet in June, I celebrated being free from self-harm for two years, and counting. Kari saw me through one transformation after another, until our beautiful last session, where we both knew at the end, that it was good-bye...for now.
People come into your life for a reason, and although I am not religious, per se, I know that Kari and I crossed paths for a reason. My sessions with her at Friendswood Counseling Center changed my life, and I am grateful that I will have that avenue of support whenever I need it, in the years ahead.
Thank you Kristi and Kari, and namaste.

Read moreI’ve never had a good experience with therapy until I found Dr. Ottis. I felt drawn to her from the start, and even though she wasn’t accepting new clients, the kind receptionist said she’d check anyway. A few days later, they called back and said Dr. Ottis would work me in, and I’m so thankful she did. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly gifted at what she does. For the first time in my life, I feel like therapy is actually helping. I can’t recommend Dr. Ottis and this office enough, they’ve genuinely...
