Nobi Asian Grill — Restaurant in Friendswood

So easily said, the NOBi on NASA Road is one of my top five places to eat. On my way to a chiropractic visit I decided to stop into this Nobi, thinking it would be the same …..to my surprise. It was not. I got the bonme sandwich with an egg over easy. Which is and was fantastic.. as for the egg it was hard fried, no big deal . that being said, the staff was not nice and looked miserable like they just did a 70 hour shift with no break. No smiles. No good energy nobody was happy to be there and not great service. The bar is separate from the restaurant portion —upon going there to get a beer the bartender Basically sucked the “delightful, positive, Good energy” right out of my soul. I tried as hard as I could too, strike conversation and be happy but her negative demeanor almost ruined my day. I’m not gonna try with someone that just doesn’t care that a new customers in front of her asking questions about beer I thought maybe it’s me. Maybe I’m having a bad day but then two or three, what looked like regulars came in. Everything changed on the bartenders face giving out hugs smiles everything so I guess new customers aren’t worth being delightful to.

I’ll prolly give this place a try again before I strike it off my list. I’m definitely only gonna go to...

Love this place! Really nice spot to go with friends, enjoy some good food and good beer.

Food is super tasty! For starters, I really enjoy Asian food, and this food is one of those places that leaves you thinking about it/craving it! I love getting the banh mi (pork, tofu, you name it) or the pork fried rice with an added egg. Only complaint about the food is occasionally the bread for the banh mi has been too tough (touch over-toasted), making it hard to eat the sandwich. Beer selection is nice as well, and staff is very knowledgeable and able to give good recommendations.

Only downside for me is this place can get busy often, which makes it hard to find a seat. It’s also a seat yourself kind of situation, which makes it difficult when it’s so busy. For me, that’s the only time when the service lacks. The first time I went, I wasn’t exactly sure how it worked and waited a while or I’ve occasionally waited a while at a table until the server picked up we were there. Otherwise, staff has always been pretty friendly and both attentive and quick once serving.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for the passed 5-6 years ( can't remember when I started going)Staff here has always been extremely nice, place is small but very cozy and clean... Food has always been amazing no matter what you get from the menu, I always have to get their Wonton Soup which is perfectly flavored imo... I've tried pretty much every one of their Sandwiches and Its hard to choose which one is the best, they recently added the Xia Xiu Pork ( cant remember how it's spelled on their menu) After taking my first bite I was like dammm , should've stuck with the grilled pork, but after adding a lil Siracha and some Maggi Sauce it clearly became one of my favorites .... Unfortunately this place is about 1 1/2 hr drive for me , but whenever im in the area I always try to swing by this delicious lil restaurant...... They have recently connected or opened a coffee shop or it seems that's what it is next door to this restaurant unfortunately I haven't been there so I can't review anything on them but definitely seemed like a...
