I’ve been coming to this salon for about 2 years for various services (wax, nails, pedicures). I went for a lip and brow wax on my last trip, during the service the tech over applied wax resulting in the wax covering the skin on my actual lip. I was startled when I felt it and brought it to her attention and asked her to take extra caution when removing that wax, the rest of my service was done with no issue. Today, however, I woke up to painful, red sores on my face. I went into the salon to express my concerns and ask for a refund, instead of having a constructive conversation I was belittled in front of a salon full of patrons. I asked multiple times for the woman I was speaking with to please lower her voice, it’s already embarrassing to be talking about a reaction like this in front of people and was made to feel even more uncomfortable by her. She was unwilling to accept any fault instead blaming my skin, my skin care, the food I ate, my make up, and anything I drank. When I told her I was bringing this to her attention because these spots are my face are not just ugly, but painful she then stated “no they don’t burn”. How could she tell me what I am feeling? I’m far from a Karen, I had even gone back and forth on if I should say anything but thought I should because as a professional I would want someone to extend the same courtesy to me. Obviously I won’t be back which is unfortunate because I did enjoy the spa but the way I was treated was extremely unprofessional and...
Read moreThey do a great job here... But I took away 1 star for price and lacking comprehensive service. The not so great things: (1) I wish they wouldn't put the bowl of acetone right in front of my face when getting a pedicure and a manicure at the same time. I had a headache for the rest of the day and into the night. (2) I've never had to ask before for the manicure to be done when getting my nails done. The first time, it was $66 and my nails looked just like the picture I gave them (dip with tips, hombre, and 4 sparkly designs), but she didn't touch my cuticles or lotion my hands or do any kind of massage. When I asked about it, she said I needed to tell her at the beginning. So the next time, I told her at the beginning, so she trimmed my cuticles. My set of dipped nails with tips and cuticles cut was $60 (which is a bit high, I think), plus $15 for the design on them. The great things: The spa is very clean and the staff are friendly and talented. I'll keep coming back even though it's the most expensive manicure I've ever had because I appreciate the cleanliness and quality of their work. My first set lasted 2.5 weeks with no chips, cracks, or lifting at all, and I've got 2 kids and lift weights, so that's...
Read moreRushed & Rough! My first time here and it will also be my last. The tech was rushing and digging through her supply box. I barely got to soak my feet when she started cutting the cuticles. In addition to hardly cutting the cuticles she was snipping off raw skin, it was very painful. When clipping the nails, she pulled what wasn’t clipped. That, too, was painful. Tech did not focus on cutting but was constantly looking/listening to and at other techs/customers. I told her several times that it was painful and try to be patience to give her an opportunity to amends. However, it was so unpleasant that I just asked her to stop and just rinse my feet after the rushed scrub. She ask me no color? No massage? I said no thank you, just rinse my feet and that’ll do it. She handed me a ticket for the full price. I sat and waited for my friends to finish their mani/pedi, paid in full and didn’t want to waste my breath or time in trying to dispute the charges. Sometimes it’s cheaper to pay someone then hender the negative energy and ruin your whole day. Was hoping for a relaxing day to celebrate a friend’s birthday with a few of our friends. Never again here...
