I had such an amazing experience at the Friendswood Scoop Shop! The staff was super nice, and they let us try free samples of any flavors we weren’t sure about, which made me expand on the many flavors they have. There were so many flavors to pick from, like strawberry and cookies and cream, they also have unique flavors like cantaloupe and watermelon ice cream! The best part is that the flavors change every week, so you never know what new ones they’ll have. So I recommend to look on their website to see the new flavors. They even have a flavor suggestion box where customers can recommend new ideas. One thing that makes this place stand out is that the owner actually makes all the ice cream from scratch, which gives it a homemade feel. The whole shop has a really traditional, with a little gift shop and a western-style. It’s super amazing and unique. They offer all kinds of icecreams, like sundaes, cones, and even banana splits,which are my favorite. I want to give this place a higher rating because it's a got great potential but I've been there two times since opening and the wait times are unreasonably long. The first time I went at opening weekend it took over 30 minutes with a line that just went to the door. The ice cream was frozen so hard the poor girl was straining just trying to chip away at it. My first cup of ice cream was melting by the time I got the other cup I'd ordered. But I chalked it up to a new business working out the kinks. Tonight we went again and it took over an hour with a line that just reached the ramp. I don't understand why it takes so long. I counted at least 6 workers in the front but still the progress was painfully slow.

There are a good variety of flavors but overall they tasted just ok; not bad but not really worth the wait.

Grand Opening!!! We have been waiting for an ice cream shop like this. But don’t get it wrong while it’s a lovely looking traditional ice cream shop their flavors are anything but traditional. The cantaloupe and watermelon flavored ice cream were very refreshing. While they have the traditional staples like chocolate and strawberry and cookies n cream and cookie dough I would recommend asking the friendly staff for a sample of the not so easily found flavors. The flavors change frequently so you can always check online or stop in to see what they are serving for the day. The place is a little small to sit inside to enjoy but they do offer seating outside and I’m sure as the days go by it will only get better.
