Bakehouse in Friendswood is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the warm, inviting atmosphere lets you know you’re in for something special. You can tell this place was built with heart—every detail feels intentional, and the scent of fresh-baked goodies wraps around you like a hug.

I had the Chicken Salad Croissant, which was perfectly flaky and filled with flavor, while my girlfriend went with the Prosciutto Baguette—savory, crisp, and balanced beautifully. Both were outstanding. We shared one of the sweet rolls to finish off the meal! (Dug in as soon as we sat and forgot to get pictures of the food😅)

What really makes Bakehouse shine is the personal touch. The owner, who’s also the chef, clearly takes pride in his craft and made us feel genuinely welcome. He even shared a taste of their family-recipe baklava, which was next-level good, and a fresh baguette to take home.

Supporting a spot like this is easy when the food, environment, and passion are all top-tier. Friendswood needed a place like Bakehouse, and I can’t...

The food and pastries are great! The service however was really awkward. As soon as we walked in, 4 or 5 workers stared and no one greeted us. We didnt know who to order with since a couple workers were standing behind the counter and not acknowledging us or trying to let us order with them. All around unwelcoming vibe but maybe since everyone is so new, service will be better soon. Will try again one day.

Update: My return was worst than the first. It's like they actively hire the most awkward employees and tell them make your interaction as tiring as possible. Sucks cause the foods great but not worth the hassle of...

Do y’all know how hard it is to find a place that has MULTIPLE option for gluten free!? If you’re like me, always trying to find what makes your body feel good then you need to stop by bake home. From muffins to bread they HAVE IT! My daughter was so happy to finally been able to eat a snack with mom without worrying about a stomach ache💖. Gluten free options are cookies, banana and carrot muffin, brownies, regular chocolates, loaf of bread! It was a dream come true to have found this place.
