Says he will commit to buying but backs out after either buying large quantity or backs out because there is no horror or not enough pics or list even though clearly theres 10 plus tubs. The owner is a joke and just wasted my time bringing everything upstairs for nothing. Now he's saying i was demanding 1,000 when he asked how much I want. All I simply said was maybe around 1,000 . I think you need glasses sir because my name isn't Dan. Also demanding a list or more pics is ridiculous when you should of kept your word as a business owner because I know other businesses that would keep their word regardless on what they deal with . Glad I didn't sell my games to you or even my horror if I ever sell them. Plus i love how he lies or doesnt comprehend when he says multiple businesses werent interested in my stuff when it was just one since all that store ever deals with is horror. Also i love how this owner proudly says they have multiple films that arent horror but yet its all hes interested in. You should just sell horror and not lie about wanting to purchase knowing i didnt have them for sale. Plus the way he talked to me over the phone trying to bully me by trying to be loud and over talk me is not cool especially for a business. The huge lot that he bought in Chicago I wonder if there was a list for 20,000 films or 20,000 pics . Oh well I dont care your not the worth the headache. I will continue doing my...
Read moreThis guy is a joke. 3 times I've attempted to deal with Harrison. Every single time... you give him a price, you send him pictures, he says "I'll take it all." He shows up and suddenly wants to offer you maybe 10 percent value. 1st time, stated I had about $1500 worth of stuff, sent pictures, we agreed on a price, he shows up, changes his mind and wants to cherry pick the lot, ends up spending less than $100 after wasting 3+ hours of my day. 2nd time, I post a lot of over 500 movies on market place, he says "I'll take them all", asks for photos and itemized list. We agree on a price and meeting date, we stay in contact for 2 weeks, touching base every couple days as I find new items to add to the lot. After weeks of agreeing and building the lot, making deals, he cancels the sale 1 hour before we're supposed to meet, saying "sorry, I can't buy them anymore, I've changed my mind"... 3rd time, he messages me on Marketplace again, I have a lot of 300 VHS tapes listed for $90. He says "I'll buy the whole lot"... then starts asking all the same questions, asks for more pictures, asks to cherry pick after just stating he'd buy EVERYTHING... I tell him I'm not playing his game again and tell him, send the $90 and the lot is yours. He claims he doesn't remember the 1st 2nd times and stops responding. What a joke, don't waste your time. When you see what he offers and what he tries to sell stuff for in his store, you...
Read moreI found this business on social media and was immediately drawn in to how they handle their business. Other places simply sell items. This business sells the experience. What Criterion does to curate movies, State Tape Video does to curate the physical media experience. They have every genre of movie you can think of, but what makes me the happiest is: they ship!! They are quick to respond to inquiries, quick to ship and take great care packaging those shipments. I will be spending a lot of money with them because of this. These movies I can buy anywhere, but will go out of my way to buy from these amazing people. Thank...
